Most of us have no problem clearing out space on our schedule to see other people and spend time with them, but when it comes to ourselves, that’s a whole other story. I’m guilty of this too!

We need to prioritize the things that we’re trying to get done to build ourselves as better humans and make sure that time is sacred.

The reality is that the more you give to yourself with this precious time, the more you respect yourself and the more you are able to give to others.

So make sure that if I saw your calendar that I could see where you are scheduling your workouts or rehab exercise exercises or stretching routine.

Because if it’s not on the schedule, then likely they’re going to be interruptions that will scoop up that time you thought you were gonna do it. Make it a certainty and watch your life magically improve.

Happy June! If you’re struggling with an injury, you’re not alone.

Unfortunately, but maybe fortunately, I’ve come down with an injury myself with my knee. It’s not serious, but it doesn’t feel great running right now.

So I’ve decided to share the things that I’m doing to help myself recover and get back to faster running this fall.

If you’re dealing with a knee injury or any other injury, that’s stopping you from running or doing the things you’d love to do, comment. “ Trent plan“ and I can send you over what I’m doing.

It doesn’t mean necessary that is the thing you should be doing, but it should give you some insights onto the cutting edge things that I do here at Xtra Mile PT.

Let’s make this an awesome summer to crush our goals and to feel as good as possible!

Great time at Morning Miles at Vancouver! So fun to get a run in and hang out with friends. I got a chance to lead the warmup prior to going out for a 4.2 mile run.
Lots of nice prizes in the raffle, and really nice treats and mimosas! Ron and the crew always do the party right!
I got a chance to show people to take care of some nagging pains, and get them on the right track for healing.
Also awesome to see Karissa from , show her the SoftWave and help get some relief from all the hard work she does!
I’ve been busy with track season, but this was a nice change of pace. I look forward to a fun summer of running with this community!

Getting angry and disgusted is usually not considered a positive thing, but it stirs us up to take action on a situation you won’t tolerate any more.
Too many people, including myself, just deal with an awful or mediocre situation for way too long because they’re pretty comfortable where they’re at. In this scenario, we never change because our current situation is pretty comfortable.

So get angry!! Get fed up that you’re not where you’re at, and take action to make it the way you want!

Such a great group of instructors and promoters of an active and healthy lifestyle.
I’m doing free demos to those stopping by my table today, should be a fun event!

Some coach’s ramblings from the Timberwolf Invitational yesterday at Heritage HS.
Yes, I do yell a lot because I’m passionate for these kids to break through.
Great job to all the athletes who competed yesterday! We have a couple more meets to improve our PR’s before districts in a couple weeks! Go Storm!

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I ran the Boston Marathon.

I was in PT school doing the training, and I remember having bronchitis the week before.

After getting a lot of anti-inflammatories, I brought an inhaler to the start line and hoped for the best that I wouldn’t cough a lung out.

In the narrow of two decade sense, I’ve continued to run somewhat, and I’ve learned a lot about how to help people who run from a physical and mental standpoint to become the most resilient humans I work with.

I’m very grateful for all my instructors people along the way who have helped me become the person I am today. This picture makes me smile.

Enjoying family is so important! I’m so glad to spend time with my nephews Owen and Elliot. My son Jack was showing them how to catch carp! Also got some time to spend time with my dad and sisters. We also had a chance to spend Easter with Rachel’s family, had a great time!
Wishing you had a great Easter and boundless blessings!

Turning 47 today. It makes me think about how time passes so fast and that another year goes by and maybe things are staying the same too much.

But in order to make changes in your life, you have to change. And it’s hard to do alone.

So if you’re interested in making this year different and making your future, birthdays, happier, and more active, Drop me a message and I can tell you about some programs I’m developing that can help you achieve your goals.

Wishing you the best out there and thank you for all the birthday wishes.

Yours in health,
Trent
