John has been resting extensively over the past few days, and as a result, I am not hurrying any processes with him. One of the three tumors was successfully removed. He woke up briefly tonight and we managed to sit outside by the fire for approximately 45 minutes before fatigue set in, prompting him to retire to bed.

We are fortunate to live in and era featuring advanced medical procedures. They were able to get the largest of 3 tumors. The scar tissue from this first ablation will help when they go and get the next 2 tumors.
Liver ablation is a invasive, image-guided procedure (using CT or ultrasound) that destroy liver tumors by applying intense heat (radiofrequency/microwave) or cold (cryoablation) directly through a probe. It is commonly used for inoperable tumors, providing a high success rate (80%+) with reduced recovery time, often done under general anesthesia.

John Paul Robin's procedure went smoothly today. As the doctors focused on their work, I relaxed, taking a moment to appreciate the skyline view. Even amidst the busy atmosphere of Houston's downtown medical district, the panoramic view from above brings a sense of calm. John Paul Robin

This last year has been a growing experience for our entire family. Things are progressing and we hope and pray they continue to.
His transplant packet arrived today. He has 8 classes to educate him on what to do before and after the transplant. Paperwork to complete and doctors to meet with. We are staying positive.
