How do I know if I have product build up?! 👇🏼

I see this OFTEN with clients who come into the salon. Part of loving your curls again means getting them HEALTHY, and lots of products out there do the opposite.

So how do you know if you have build up? 👇🏼
✔️Your hair feels Dry but your scalp feels greasy!
✔️No volume
✔️Your hair struggles to hold curl or style
✔️Feels dull all the time
✔️You’re using SOOO much shampoo!
✔️Hair feels rough and stiff

Product buildup is caused by oils, dead skin cells and hair products (heavy silicones, waxes) that accumulate on the scalp. So the BIGGER question is… How do we STOP this??? 👇🏼👇🏼

✅Make sure your hair is completely WET and thoroughly rinsed before adding shampoo!
✅Place shampoo in your hand first (even mix with water!) and EMULSIFY before plopping it on your scalp!
✅Focus on your scalp! Really get a good lather! (Move the shampoo around well!)
✅ and PLEASE stop using HEAVY silicone shampoos! They feel great the first 5 washes (because it’s so silky) but overtime it sticks together and ends up BUILDING up on the scalp and hair shaft, which is SUFFOCATING your follicles.Think you might have some build up going on? Try some of these tips and see what you notice!
