“I was blown away!”
“This deck is BEAUTIFUL. The
words are so affirming and the intention that went behind every detail!!! This is amazing. I was so proud to share and unbox it with my friend who we have been discussing pretty much every topic in the 44 cards.
But the detail of the artwork/flower crowns matching the botanicals recommended - I was blown away! Dina this is so so good! Thank you! It’s on my coffee table now and I will put it to good use❤️❤️❤️❤️

“I definitely could see myself in the deck.”

When Samaneh said this to me, I knew she had experienced exactly what I hoped women would feel when they held these cards.

I wanted women to see themselves here.

Different skin tones. Different hair. Different bodies. Different expressions of womanhood.

Because there is no single way to look like a woman moving through midlife. And there is no single story of what this season of becoming looks like.

Samaneh noticed that. She told me she loved that the women were represented as whole women—not reduced to a stereotype.

And then she gave me perhaps the greatest compliment of all:

She loved her deck enough to buy two more for her friends. 🤎

That is how I hope Bloom & Blaze travels—from one woman’s hands into another’s.

If there’s a woman in your life navigating change, becoming, or simply needing a reminder of her own wisdom, the Bloom & Blaze Affirmation Deck was created with her in mind.

It’s been a little while since our last morning together. But maybe that’s fitting.

Plants have their own timing. And apparently, so do we. 🌿

In our next Mornings with Maya, we’re sitting with borage—a plant with a long history of being associated with courage.

But before we get there, Maya is taking us back to the basics: What’s the difference between an herbal infusion and a decoction? And how do you know which one your plant needs?

Because making herbal medicine isn’t just about what you use. It’s about learning how to listen to the plant—and understanding what it takes to draw the medicine out.

This is just a taste of where our conversation goes.

Mornings with Maya: Borage + the Courage to Become.
Coming soon.

One plant. One conversation. One morning at a time.

This is exactly how I hoped these cards would live. 🤎

Not tucked away on a shelf, waiting for the “right” moment.

Outside in the sunshine.
Beside your morning or afternoon glass of w**e.
Packed for a weekend away.
Pulled when you need a reminder of who you are—or who you’re becoming.

Nicole told me the reframes brought tears to her eyes, and that means so much to me because Bloom & Blaze was created for exactly these moments: when we need language that meets us with a little more tenderness, wisdom, and possibility.

Each card offers a small pause, a new perspective, and a reminder that this season of life is not something you have to move through alone—or without support.

And I absolutely love that her husband caught her out here having her own little Bloom & Blaze moment. 😂

Thank you, Nicole Bell , for letting the deck become part of your ritual.

Where do you usually pull your cards—morning coffee, bedtime, journaling, outside, or whenever life starts life-ing?

Well… this happened to me. Again. 😩

A few days ago, I felt the blues come on hard and fast. Everything suddenly felt heavier. My life felt wrong. I felt wrong.

And then it hit me:

Girl, when did you last change your estrogen patch?

Sure enough, I had forgotten.

I’ve learned over the years that I’m particularly sensitive to hormonal shifts, so a missed patch can feel like much more than a missed patch for me. Sometimes I recognize what’s happening quickly. Sometimes I’m halfway into questioning my entire existence before I remember to check the calendar. 😂

It was a good reminder that when my mood changes suddenly, I need to get curious before I believe every thought my brain is serving me.

And apparently, I also need a better system for remembering my patch.

So, my ladies on HRT: How are you remembering yours? Phone alarms? Calendar reminders? An app? Changing it on the same days every week? Something else?

Please share your system because estrogen cannot keep leaving the group chat like this. 😂

This is my personal experience with HRT, not medical advice. Sudden or persistent mood changes are worth discussing with your healthcare provider.

Our first episode of Mornings with Maya is here. 🌿

In Rest as Ritual, Maya and I spend a morning with California poppy—harvesting from the garden, preparing tea, and exploring the wisdom this gentle plant may offer women in midlife.

Our conversation moves beyond rest as simply stopping or sleeping. We reflect on restoration, transformation, inner containment, and what it means to make space for the fullness of life.

Make a cup of tea and join us in the garden.

Why is there a sprig of rosemary tucked inside every Bloom & Blaze box?

Because it’s more than an herb.

For centuries, rosemary has been known as the herb of remembrance. To me, it carries a beautiful invitation for women in midlife: to remember ourselves.

To remember our wisdom.
To remember our intuition.
To remember the woman we’ve been beneath all the roles we’ve carried.

Before you pull your first card, before you read a single affirmation, I hope the rosemary quietly reminds you:

Remember who you are.

Welcome home to yourself.

🌿 What does “remembering yourself” mean to you in this season of life?

I'm so excited to introduce Mornings with Maya—a new series of conversations exploring the wisdom of plants and the women they have long supported.

Together, we'll walk through the garden, harvest herbs, prepare simple remedies, and reflect on what these botanical allies can teach us about healing, rest, resilience, and becoming.

Our first episode, Rest as Ritual, explores California poppy and a question many women in midlife are beginning to ask:

What if rest isn't something we earn? What if it's a way of returning home to ourselves?

I can't wait to share this journey with you.

Episode One premieres soon.
