🌐 AI is getting smarter. But can the infrastructure keep up?
AI’s next phase isn’t just about building bigger models. It’s about connecting, securing, and operating the infrastructure that makes AI useful at scale.
Cisco is responding to this challenge through its expanding AI infrastructure strategy.
In August 2026, Cisco expanded its Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, partnering with Supermicro to add rack-scale and high-density compute solutions. The architecture brings together AI networking, compute, security, and observability for enterprises, neoclouds, and sovereign cloud providers.
Then, in September, Cisco introduced Cisco AI POD for Splunk, enabling customers to run Splunk AI workloads in on-premises, private cloud, and air-gapped environments using Cisco infrastructure, NVIDIA accelerated computing, and Kubernetes architecture.
The bigger picture? AI adoption depends on more than powerful chips. It also requires secure infrastructure, reliable networking, and visibility across the entire stack.
📍 Look closely at the Silicon Valley Map, and Cisco is part of a dense technology ecosystem that includes Oracle, Meta, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Intel, Cadence, and NXP Semiconductors.
These companies operate across different layers of the technology stack—but their technologies are increasingly interconnected.
The question is: As AI infrastructure scales, will networking become one of the industry’s biggest competitive advantages?
