Sage and Sunflowers

After our big move (OK I know it wasn’t that big) we’ve decided to take things in a new direction. Scary move for me as I’ve been in Corporate America for the last 10 years. But I’m getting back to my roots. Coming this spring we will be offering Fresh Cut Flowers along with Sprouts and Microgreens and eventually mushrooms. We just need to finalize with the farmers market here in Walterboro and if approved we will be there this spring and summer. I’ll also be at other events throughout the area. For now though we are busy prepping the flower garden and starting seeds. Hope to see you later this spring. Oh and the new website is almost done.

Guess what’s ready!! Picking daily now. Let me know if you need some tomatoes. $5.00 per container. All organic. Several different varieties. We’ve also got herbs, fresh basil, oregano, parsley and mint. $1 per bunch, picked fresh to order.

I’ve had a few people ask what I’m growing this year. I only follow organic practices in my garden and the majority of veggies I grow aren’t found in grocery stores. So here’s the list!!! Tomatoes - several different varieties from cherries to slicers, (like brads atomic grape and red rosso, blueberry cream and sunrise bumble bee), Malabar Spinach, green beans - both bush and pole, okra, cucumbers - from the round lemon ones to traditional, grapes - muscadine and concord, a variety of herbs, peppers - sweet, spicy and really spicy (Ghost and Carolina Reapers). Then there’s the flowers. Lots of sunflowers, zinnias, gladiolus, lilies. I’m making and donating bouquets of these already but I’ll be sure to have some for sale later on in the summer when the sunflowers really get going. The micro greens are available pretty much anytime. We’re also making soap, deodorant and bug off lotion bars. I’ll be posting a pop up market soon..
