The Public Service Commission is an elected position. On the ballot-down ballot- in November! There are five seats, 5 districts, but everyone in the state votes in each district election! They are supposed to set prices and regulate GPC amongst other roles…however GPC lawyers contributed to PSC campaigns. Back door deals at its finest!

There is a PSC hearing on RTP-real time pricing! We will have a bus going up in October and hopefully December. Please make your voice heard! You can write comment or give public comment!

The nonprofit Science for Georgia has found that Georgia data center energy use will outpace the state's supply.

This could be your family home!

Another heartbreaking case of eminent domain in Georgia: Georgia Power is seizing portions of private property — and in some cases entire homes — from over 330 families to build high-voltage power lines for new data centers.

One affected homeowner shared that crews will demolish trees, a playhouse, fence, fire pits, pool, spa, and come just 12 feet from her family’s bedroom. Multiple neighbors’ houses are being completely demolished.

Georgia Power says the lines are needed to support surging energy demand from data centers popping up across the state.

They plan to negotiate easements and purchases, but will use eminent domain where necessary.

Families are fighting back, arguing this corporate-backed land grab prioritizes Big Tech over American homeowners and their lifelong investments.

We need stronger protections against this kind of abuse.

Protecting Warner Robins: Power, Water, and
Community

🚨The City Council has paused data-center proposals while city leaders study how these developments could affect our electricity system, water and sewer capacity, infrastructure, neighborhoods, public services, and local economy.
🚨At the same time, the Georgia Public Service Commission is investigating whether the costs created by some of Georgia’s largest electricity users—including data centers—are being fairly assigned.

The question is simple: Who pays for the power?🤑 Will large developments pay the full costs associated with their growth, or will some of those costs be passed on to families and small businesses?🤕
