Today I held a 3-hour continuing education seminar for my fellow psychologists and mental health professionals. I am so honored and grateful to contribute to my profession in this manner and to be trusted by my peers for their trust and recommendation. This event was hosted by DCPA but also co-shared by several other Psychology state associations! Little Jessica from never thought she would be holding space and presenting to 300 fellow psychologists! Thank you all for your courage, risk, care, patience, and advocacy as we learn together what it means to be better in this space. Thank you for the invitation to come present and discuss themes of ‘Advocacy Fatigue’ with the Advocacy Coordinating Committee. I enjoyed holding space for a timely and welcomed discussion. Also so good to see some of my APA colleagues and friends and especially to hug our dear President, ❤️❤️❤️
