There are days when all you want is to disappear, when the weight of everything feels too heavy to carry.

But then, out of nowhere, you catch yourself laughing at a friend’s story, savoring the comfort of your favorite meal, or simply breathing in the calm of the evening air as you walk home. It’s in these fleeting, almost unnoticed moments that life gently nudges you, reminding you that even in the darkest times, there are still tiny glimmers of light that make holding on worth it.

Life may never be as easy as we hope, and its challenges can feel relentless, but sometimes, it’s the smallest joys that breathe life back into you. A kind word, a shared laugh, or the quiet peace of a sunset—they have a way of reminding you just how good life can still be, even when everything feels like it’s falling apart.

And maybe, that’s the beauty of it: knowing that no matter how lost you feel, these moments will always be there to pull you back.

Menopause and reflexology 💕

Menopause is an important subject for a Reflexologist (particularly me as a woman going through it) because almost all women will experience some symptoms. From being mild to having a huge impact on their lives.

One of the most common symptom woman confide in me is anxiety. Onset of depression. When previously never suffered before. Or symptoms getting worse.
I have worked a lot with women going through this transition.
Working over the pressure points on the feet to help with low mood.
Here in my little cabin I can provide a safe haven in which to relax, unwind and revitalise. Having an empathic Reflexologist who understands the physical and emotional changes behind menopausal symptoms can really make the difference. Reflexology will help put hormones back into balance and act like a process of emotional cleansing which can relieve stresses and restore harmony to the body and the soul. I also encourage clients look at additional ways to support this process.

Symptoms can vary, woman to woman, from a gradual decrease in periods, to an abrupt ending of them. The most common symptoms are hot flushes, dizziness and mood changes, and for some women these can be so severe as to be really debilitating, and the symptoms can go on for years.

Menopause is officially diagnosed when a woman has not menstruated for a full year.
The good news for women going through this transition, is that Reflexology can be really beneficial to a woman at this time. Reflexology as a therapy is excellent at helping to balance hormone levels in the body, which in turn will help manage the symptoms of menopause.

A skilled Reflexologist will work the endocrine system thoroughly, as part of a holistic treatment.
Of course chat with your doctor and discuss your best options.
Thankfully menopause and it's impact isn't as taboo anymore.

My advice to woman who are experiencing perimenopause or menopausal symptoms, is to prioritise self-care. Listen to your bodies ❤

👣Reflexology and Stress👣

The pressures of day to day life can take its toll on us, with such fast paced busy lifestyles, we have work, school runs, kids, running a house and sometimes normal day to day stress can manifest itself into something more sinister.

Those of you who follow my page and work will know I am big advocate of self care and how looking after our minds is so important ❤️

Self care is so important and to allow look after ourselves... from just soaking in the bath to reading a book, from complimenting yourself in the mirror to setting yourself goals each day. And of course reflexology 👣

Reflexology can also play a major role in the reduction of stress and anxiety, because long-term stress is damaging to the body's endocrine system, which includes the pancreas, pineal gland and adrenal gland, by undergoing a treatment to these specific areas can alleviate stress and relax the body.

A typical Reflexology treatment can help and relieve stress and anxiety by

• Eliminating build up of toxins in the body
• Encouraging flow of blood to body organs
• Activates the endocrine system
• Decongests energy pathways for optimum nervous system function
• Induces relaxation states
• Encourages the release of endorphins; the natural feel-good hormones in the body that can minimize the body’s stress response.

If you suffer from any mental health issues and would like more info on how reflexology can help you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Remember.. Talk to yourself like you would talk to someone you love. – Self Care / Self Aware ❤😘
