What does adaptability mean to you?

Adaptability is a powerful human experience. It's shaped by my life and the inspiring women around me. My grandmother faced MS, and my mom adapted after a car accident. Their strength taught me that everyone can adapt through life's challenges.

Ever thought about how doctors are also patients? 🤔

It's a powerful reminder that we all share the same human experience.

In my years of practice, I've often said, "Patients aren't doctors, but all doctors are patients." This perspective shapes how I approach care.

Recently, I was in my long white coat, leading my team when a staff member rushed in with dietary trays, asking for my help. It reminded me of the importance of teamwork and communication in healthcare. - Dr. Lindiwe

When I finally spoke to the patient, they asked, "When am I going to speak to the attending?" It’s moments like these that highlight the need for clarity and connection in our interactions.

How do you think we can improve communication in healthcare? Let's discuss!

Are you investing in yourself enough? 🤔

As professionals, we often forget that growth requires reinvestment; physically, mentally, emotionally, and even entrepreneurially. It's not just about showing up with the right tools; it's about the work we put into ourselves behind the scenes.

You never know who might be inspired by your journey or who could benefit from your expertise. I often do pro bono work, speak to students, and give back to the community. These efforts not only enrich others but also enhance our own growth.

So, how are you investing in yourself this year? Let's start the conversation! 💬

Self-care isn’t selfish! 🌟

Have you ever felt guilty for taking time for yourself?

It’s crucial to remember that you can’t pour from an empty cup. Just like the flight attendant says, you must put your own mask on first before helping others.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, know that you can’t truly support your loved ones if you’re not taking care of yourself.

Self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant or costly. Even if you’re on a tight budget, there are small, meaningful ways to invest in your well-being.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Take a few minutes each day to breathe and relax.
- Find a hobby that brings you joy.
- Set boundaries to protect your time and energy.

Remember, investing in yourself is not a luxury; it’s a necessity.

What’s one small thing you can do for yourself today? Let’s share our self-care tips below! 💬

Ever wondered why we drink milk from other mammals? 🐄

A curious question from my daughter got me thinking:
If we’re mammals, why do we consume another mammal's milk?

It’s a great point!
Most mammals don’t drink milk from other species, so why do we?

Interestingly, while some populations, like Northern Europeans, have adapted to digest dairy, many of us can’t.
It’s fascinating how our genetics shape our diets!

What are your thoughts on this?
Do you think we should rethink our dairy consumption?

Let’s discuss!

Ever wonder if what you're eating is actually real food? 🤔

Drop a comment if you've felt this!

I recently went grocery shopping with a friend, and we decided to see what we could fit into our baskets with a $100 budget. Being plant-based, I knew I’d stick mostly to the produce section. 🌱

While I did grab some sea bass (because, let’s be honest, it’s a pricey fish!), everything else was fresh fruits and veggies. My friend went for the meat aisle, but I always ask myself: does this food have a parent? If it doesn’t, it’s not real food!

So next time you’re questioning what to eat, remember those two questions:
- Does it have a parent?
- Did it come from the ground?

If the answer is no to either, it’s time to rethink your choices! 🥦🍅

Is representation on reality TV changing the game?

Seeing diverse faces on shows like Love Island is a step forward! It’s beautiful to witness someone who represents often overlooked parts of our population. This visibility shows that beauty and love come in all forms. It made my heart smile to see this on national television.

What do you think about representation in reality TV?
