RESNA is seeking participants to help develop updates to WC-3 Wheelchair Related Seating, Volume 3.

The Project Initiation Notification (PINS) is open October 16–November 15, 2026. The project will consider updates to existing ISO 16840 standards and new areas addressing topics such as pressure mapping, flammability testing, microclimate, seat cushion stability, postural support devices, and computer modeling.

RESNA is seeking public comment on the final draft of RESNA SS-1, Volume 1: Test Methods for Full Body Support Surfaces, a revision of ANSI/RESNA SS-1-2019.

The proposed standard establishes standardized laboratory test methods for evaluating key performance characteristics of full body support surfaces, including immersion, envelopment, horizontal stiffness, and microclimate.
