Want to know the story behind the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America’s (RESNA) logo?

It depicts the Gordian knot. According to ancient myths, it was complex and a great challenge. Alexander the Great attempted to untie it and resorted to slicing it with his sword.

Similarly, the assistive technology community utilizes this principle every day using creative problem-solving. The knot symbolizes perseverance.
