I did a thing.
I wrote my story.

It's been said that we are haunted by the stories we don't tell.
Consider this my exorcism.

This book is my testament to the radical
shift I experienced—from clinging to a
fixed mindset birthed by the pain
paradigm of trauma and abuse to
embracing a Life where growth,
pleasure, and inner harmony reign. It is
the story of how I continue to break free
from a world of conditioned suffering
and nurture the divine energy within. I
draw upon my personal transformation
that includes an initiation into a
profound African spiritual tradition that
awakened my consciousness and
guided me back into a healthy
relationship with myself.

Here, I invite you to journey with me as
we deconstruct the myth of perfection,
dissolve old paradigms, and co-create a
reality rooted in what I like to call the
Buttafly Effect.

I am Miss Buttafly and this is my story.

If your ancestors are demons, what that make you?

Decolonize your spirituality.
Re-Dig your ancestral wells.
Reclaim your birthright.

The movie 'SINNERS' had ignited online conversation about ancestors and Hoodoo. In response, I created this video for those who are inspired to connect with their deceased loved ones and guides.

The first time you actually stand on business and take steps necessary to protect your peace might be one of the saddest, most emotional times of your life.

Your nervous system might feel like it's going haywire because heretofore, you've made yourself palatable to others at the price of your own peace. And now, you're shifting. And shifting is rarely comfortable as it comes with its own share of grief.

So allow yourself to hold both feelings; be proud of yourself for enforcing your boundaries and being a good steward of your energy AND cry the tears that come with shifting paradigms. Grieve the people-pleasing fawner so that the confident you can take up that space.

Life is rarely either/or. It's ok to be and/both.

May flowers continue to grow from places that we once called barren

May softness permeate the thick skin we grew to protect our vulnerability

May we continue to be medicine for ourselves and each other

May we flourish even in seasons of famine

May we continue to confuse all those who insist on underestimating us

May we always remember that we are both seed and soil

May we embrace rest as an essential part of our natural rhythm

May we always trust our innate wisdom that was passed to by way of the womb

May we continue to strengthen our etheric bonds to the All

May always strive to be women that we can be proud of.

“Whatever happens, stay alive. Don't die before you're dead. Don't lose yourself, don't lose hope, don't lose direction.

Stay alive, with yourself, with every cell of your body, with every fiber of your skin.

Stay alive, learn, study, think, read, build, invent, create, speak, write, dream, design.

Stay alive, stay alive inside you, stay alive also outside, fill yourself with colors of the world, fill yourself with peace, fill yourself with hope.

Stay alive with joy.

There is only one thing you should not waste in life, and that's life itself."

~ Virginia Woolf

Your "yes" is the resonant frequency you and your higher self agreed with Spirit to operate on. Your "yes" is a covenant between you and those who sent you. Your "yes" is your commitment to life, to healing, to growth. Your "yes" is the fire that keeps your spirit lit. Your "yes" is the bridge that will carry you over troubled waters. Your "yes" is what allows you to walk on stormy seas.

Allow your "yes" to dictate how you move and how you respond to life. Let your "yes" be what you return to when you feel you've lost your way. When you don't understand what may be going on, rest in your "yes." Your "yes" will trigger other people's "maybes" by shining a light on their lack of trust. Keep strengthening your "yes" anyway.

How will you know when you've said "yes"? When ambiguity is no longer palatable. When you've had enough of that which insults your soul. When growth is more important than comfort. That's when you'll know that you're ready to say "yes". You'll feel it through and through. You'll dream about it. You'll feel pushed and pulled and driven by it. What's "it?" The call of Spirit. The universe operates on correspondence. Your “yes” is your response to the calling that never stops calling. The calling to evolve, to ascend, to embody.

In times of questioning, trust your "yes." The answers will come.
