Spilled something on the carpet? Don’t start scrubbing! 👀
For many fresh water-based spills, club soda + a clean microfiber towel can help lift the mess before it settles deeper into the fibers. Blot up as much as possible first, apply a small amount of club soda, then gently blot again—working from the outside toward the center.
The key is blotting, not rubbing, because aggressive scrubbing can spread the stain and damage carpet fibers.
Always test any cleaning method on a hidden area first, especially with delicate or colored carpets. For unknown, oily, permanent-dye, or set-in stains, use a cleaner appropriate for the stain and carpet type.
Save this for the next accidental spill! 🐶✨
