McKenzie Health

McKenzie Health McKenzie Health is a faith-based organization, dedicated to professional, compassionate care of all who come through our doors.

McKenzie Health is an equal opportunity provider. At McKenzie County Healthcare Systems, our commitment is to the patients and their families, whatever their needs might be. Our goal is to achieve the highest degree of healthcare for all who come through our doors. We're rural USA where we embody hometown values with a commitment to quality services, continuity of care, qualified staff, and family

involvement for individual patients and clients. McKenzie County Healthcare Systems was born on July 1, 2004, with the merger of the Good Shepherd Home Corporation and the McKenzie County Memorial Hospital Corporation. This resulted in the consolidation of all healthcare services in McKenzie County. McKenzie County Healthcare Systems consists of the Hospital, Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Rural Health Clinic, Specialty Clinics, Good Shepherd Home (long term care), Horizon Assisted Living, and Connie Wold Wellness Center. Our goal is to provide our rural communities with access to quality healthcare. McKenzie County Healthcare Systems is here today because of the hard work and vision of community minded individuals. These people epitomize the spirit of work and caring that made McKenzie County the place it is today. They spoke of the “founders of our community” and how they “spent the vigor of their youth building up the way of life we enjoy today”. They felt a responsibility to provide quality healthcare to those pioneers. With that same attitude, we continue to work to provide healthcare services to those who chose to live and work in a rural area. Our Philosophy

McKenzie County Healthcare Systems is a facility supported by the Christian churches in our community. We are dedicated to the healing ministry of McKenzie County. We are committed to excellence and service in a person-centered environment that respects the human life of all, regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, disability, pregnancy, sex and/or marital status. It is the policy of McKenzie County Healthcare Systems to provide essential services regardless of the patient's ability to pay. Discounts are available based upon family income and size. Yesterday the Good Shepherd Home was proud to take part in the Old Settlers Day Parade in Alexander and this year’s parade was extra special as we celebrated and remembered our former resident, Hilly Abelmann. ❤️

Anyone who knew Hilly knows he had a personality all his own — and when you visited the Good Shepherd Home you could often count on seeing him sporting one of his fun and unforgettable hats! 🎩🤠🧢 So, in true Hilly fashion, our residents put on some of his favorite fun hats of and hit the parade route in his honor!

There were smiles, memories and lots of laughter, as we celebrated a man who left us with so many wonderful memories. We were honored to carry a little piece of Hilly’s fun-loving spirit with us through the parade and we say a special thank you to Hilly’s family for asking us to be a part of this special day! ❤️

This one was for you, Hilly!
