On Tuesday of this week, we celebrated the Grand Re-Opening of our Rehab Department. Many hours were put into this project and we APPRECIATE everyone who helped. It turned out beautiful! We have been working hard to get our residents back into their rooms. We are beyond excited to finally have this completed!

Wood Aven would like to congratulate Maci Heise on her high school graduation! Maci has been with us doing a Youth Apprenticeship as a CNA since last July.

My name is Maci Heise. I will be attending Minnesota State University in Mankato, majoring in Biomedical Sciences. I also plan to run for their track and field team and do sprints and hurdles!

Our hearts are heavy as we share that one of our valued staff members recently experienced the unexpected loss of their son. This is an unimaginable time of grief for their family, and we are keeping them close in our thoughts.

As a community, we want to come together to offer support in any way we can. Another Staff Member, in support, organized a GoFundMe to help ease some of the financial burden during this difficult time and allow the family the space to focus on healing.

Our Easter egg hunt was a hopping success! 🐣🌸

Residents and staff had so much fun searching high and low for colorful eggs, sharing laughs, and enjoying the beautiful day together. A special shoutout to our amazing Activities Director, who went all out and dressed up as the Easter Bunny—bringing smiles, surprises, and a whole lot of Easter spirit to everyone! 🐰💛

Our residents had such a wonderful time participating in a Valentine’s Day card swap with our sister facility, Pine Crest Health and Memory Care. There is something so special about sharing kindness, creativity, and heartfelt messages with new friends. The smiles said it all! 💖

To make the day even sweeter, we enjoyed fantastic live music from The Good Times Band. The room was filled with toe-tapping tunes, laughter, and plenty of dancing — the perfect soundtrack to a day all about love and connection. 🎶❤️

Moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to build relationships, celebrate together, and spread a little extra joy. Happy Valentine’s Day! 💘

Feeling the love this Valentine’s Day ❤️

Our Management Team had so much fun writing personalized Valentine hearts for each of our incredible staff members. A small token of appreciation for the BIG hearts that show up every single day for our residents.

We also celebrated with a delicious Valentine’s Potluck — and let’s just say, our team can cook AND care! 🍓🍰 From sweet treats to savory favorites, it was the perfect way to come together and celebrate the amazing people who make our facility feel like home.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Happy Valentine’s Day! 💗

Stats: 48 bed facility with a post acute rehab and long term units

People: Amazing with small hometown atmosphere.

ED and DON: Gail DON has been with the building for 16 years, Executive Director is Gateway’s very own Nick.

Grateful: Gateway Wisconsin has been lucky enough to find this Portage County gem with staff that have obvious love for their residents and community. We cannot be more thankful for this opportunity to add Timber Ridge to continue to Dignify Long Term Care and Post Acute in the Eyes of the World!

We loved celebrating Jess, our Long Term Care Lead, and spoiling her with snacks, smiles, and all the baby love. Our facility is so lucky to have her — and we’re counting down until baby arrives!
