Today my heart shattered.
Early this morning, I said goodbye to my beautiful boy, Lance.

There are no words big enough for what he was to me. He was never “just a horse.” He was comfort, wisdom, safety, strength, and unconditional love wrapped into one incredible boy.

So many people were touched by his gentleness and presence. If you ever met him, you understood.

That bright blue eye saw straight into my soul from the very beginning.

Thank you, Lance, for carrying me through some of the hardest and most beautiful chapters of my life. Part of my heart left with you today. You’ll never be forgotten.
