Let me make something VERY clear. 💜

I am legal. I am licensed. I am fully certified. I have put in the work, followed the requirements, and built my business the right way.

This business isn't just a hobby to me. It supports my family. It represents countless hours, money, sacrifice, and determination to build something of my own.

SO if someone feels the need to report my business to the Health Department, do whatever you feel is necessary. I have nothing to hide.

What I won't do is apologize for working hard, growing, and creating a life for my family.

If the Health Department wants to verify my credentials, my licensing, my certifications, or my compliance, they're welcome to do so. I'll keep showing up, following the rules, improving my craft, and building my business.

You don't have to support me. You don't even have to like me.

But don't mistake your opinion of me for proof that I'm doing something wrong.

I'm legal. I'm certified. I'm still here. And I'm not stopping. 💜⚡

There’s always room for improvement in art. Always. 🖤

I’m sharing this because I think there’s a bigger lesson here than just a tattoo that someone doesn’t like.

Yes, I look at this tattoo today and see things I would do differently. I’m constantly learning, practicing, studying, and pushing myself to become a better artist.

I’m not going to pretend every piece I’ve ever done is perfect because growth doesn’t come from pretending you have nothing left to learn and im far from it💜

But there’s a difference between constructive criticism and publicly tearing someone down.

Someone commented that this tattoo “sucks,” that I “need to pay more attention,” and that I “should probably practice more,” followed by “this is permanent, not something you can giggle about later.”

And honestly? The irony is that I already know it’s permanent. That’s exactly WHY I take my work seriously and why I’m always striving to improve.

If you see an artist’s work and notice something you think could be better, there is a respectful way to say it. You can offer constructive criticism without insulting the person behind the work. You can disagree with an artistic choice without attempting to humiliate someone because its the internet.

Artists are human beings too.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come and I’m even more proud knowing I’m not finished growing.

Every tattoo teaches me something. Every client teaches me something. Every year I look back at my old work and see how much I’ve improved.

So yes I WILL keep practicing.
Yes I WILL keep learning.
Yes I WILL keep improving.
And yes, I’ll own my mistakes when I make them.

And what I'm gonna continue to do? I’ll continue creating, because growth requires doing.
Not being afraid to try because someone might judge you.

To the artists out there: don’t let comments like these stop you. Take legitimate criticism, learn from it, and leave the cruelty behind.

And to everyone watching from the outside: if you want to help someone grow, teach them. Don’t tear them down.

There is always room for improvement. That applies to art AND to how we treat people. 💜
