Hi, my name is Kelsey Casto, and I am a 2025 graduate of Jackson High School and Buckeye Hills Career Center. During my time at Buckeye Hills, I received hands-on training in both Nursing and Early Childhood Education, which helped me develop strong communication, caregiving, and leadership skills. I was also an active member of SkillsUSA, where I had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
During my junior year, I had the honor of competing in SkillsUSA with a presentation on βSensory Processing Disorder.β My group and I placed first at the state level, which advanced us to the national competition. Competing at Nationals was an incredible experience, and we proudly placed twelfth in the nation. This achievement strengthened my passion for helping children with different needs and deepened my understanding of developmental and sensory challenges.
Growing up with multiple autistic children in my family has had a major impact on my life and future career goals. Through these experiences, I developed a strong love for working with children on the autism spectrum and learning how to better accommodate and support their individual needs. I am passionate about creating a positive, safe, and encouraging environment where every child feels understood and valued.
I am eager to continue learning, growing, and gaining experience in this field, and I cannot wait to join this team!!
