August is Psoriasis Awareness Month 💜

Psoriasis is more than a non-contagious skin condition that can cause skin cells to build too quickly. It's also a chronic inflammatory disease that can cause itching, pain, and skin dryness. Psoriasis can also cause inflammation in joints, which is called psoriatic arthritis. Although there currently isn't a cure for psoriasis, there are treatments to manage its symptoms and reduce inflammation.

Let's spread awareness and understanding about psoriasis!

We’re excited to announce the availability of two new filters in Explorer: Cervical Cancer Screening and an Abnormal A1c Notification. The Cervical Cancer Screening filter is a new addition to the existing Preventive Services Category in Explorer. Both filters will alert you to subsets of your patient population to support work in quality and patient care.

Preventive Services Category is available in the Quick Filter to alert you to your patients with completed preventive screenings whenever they have received care. Using parameters in support of quality measures, the Preventive Services filter is designed to reduce the time it takes you to determine which of your patients have had preventative screenings. Some examples of Preventive Service filters include Colorectal Cancer Screening, Breast Cancer Screening, and Cervical Cancer Screening.

The Abnormal A1c Notification is available in the Quick Filter to alert you to your patients with HgbA1c test results that are 5.7% or higher. This alert offers flexibility to not just review this population of patients, but to also drill down even further to your diabetic and pre-diabetic patients with specified HgbA1c ranges by using additional filters options.
