We capped off our 2026 LGBTQ+ Pride Edition fundraising initiative by hosting a reception for the staff and board members of this year's recipient — One Institute — at the Fairfax retail campus.

As part of the evening's program, l.a.Eyeworks announced that proceeds from sales of our limited-edition CATENA sunglass generated a donation of $12,000 to support One Institute's truly outstanding Circa: Q***r Histories Festival, now in progress with an astonishing variety of programs at venues across Los Angeles through the month of October (link below for program info).

True to its standing as the longest-running non-profit LGBTQ+ organization in the country, One Institute also presented awards to former board members whose stories of dedication and service inspired us all.

l.a.Eyeworks expresses enormous thanks to all of our customers and the independent optical retailers worldwide who supported this year's Pride Initiative. We're also forever grateful to Valerie Vonprisk, Josef Jasso, and Sully Layo for donating their time and talent to create the stunning portrait shots that accompanied this year's campaign.

⁠A key chapter in our multi-faceted history of creative partnerships, the "FACE IT!" collection began in the 1980s with invitations to artists, jewelers and other visionaries to transform l.a.Eyeworks frame designs with the goal of amplifying the expressive potential of eyewear and expanding the boundaries of vision.⁠
