I’m aware that this might look silly and mundane to some where these are just normal parts of everyday life.

But today I sit inside, making the decisions for the rest of my day. Do I work? Do I see friends? Do I rest? Do I go for a walk? My wish is that those converge more easily than they do now.

What I wouldn’t give for my closest people to be within walking distance, to meet up consistently in the same familiar places all gathered together. To have the attention span to read, for fun, as much as I want to. To move my body purely for fun, not for a goal. To do things without the motivation of getting ahead, or crossing something off my list. To cook without minding my macros. I crave a world that naturally carves out room for movement, rest, good food, community, curiosity, and joy. What does wellness look like to you?

What’s NORMAL vs NOT NORMAL after a lymphatic drainage session 💙

NORMAL đź’™
• Feeling tired, sluggish, or needing extra rest (can last into the next day)
• Feeling a little “off,” emotional, or low mood
• Peeing more often + darker urine
• Mild headache
• Increased thirst
• Slight puffiness before things settle (temporary)
• Sweating more than usual
• Cellulite may look more noticeable temporarily (this will go down—more on that soon)
• Subtle changes… or feeling nothing at all

NOT EVERYONE FEELS SOMETHING đź’™
Some people feel immediate lightness, others feel nothing noticeable. and that’s completely normal. Your body is still processing.

NOT NORMAL đź’™
• Sharp or worsening pain
• Significant swelling that doesn’t go down
• Rash, hives, or signs of allergic reaction
• Dizziness that doesn’t pass or feels intense

HOW TO SUPPORT YOUR BODY đź’™
• Hydrate (more than usual)
• Rest + don’t overbook yourself after
• Gentle movement (walking > intense workouts)
• Nourishing, simple foods

TMJ Dysfunction (TMJD) can show up as headaches, ear pain, sinus pressure, even dizziness. Even though none of those symptoms take place in the jaw.

We’re more likely to chase symptoms than search for the root cause.

A TMJ Release may provide you with relief and answers. During every session I check your alignment, mobility, and movement patterns. This can give me (and you) a lot of information on the type and location of issues you jaw may be facing.

If you’re curious, DM for more info.

Some of my FAVORITE texts to get.

These are texts I’ve received from clients 1-3 days after their Lymphatic Drainage/Visceral Manipulation (abdominal massage) sessions.

Very commonly, clients come in and tell me “I know I’m not pregnant, but my period is 5, 10, 15+ days late”

As someone with PCOS, I understand how much irregular periods suck. The first time I ever received lymphatic drainage on my abdominals, my period came back 2 days later, ending a THREE MONTH hiatus. It never went away again. Aside from receiving that session, I wasn’t doing anything differently. Still stressed, still eating the same, still mainly sedentary at that point in my life.

Now I’m not making promises that one abdominal session will bring back your period. And it’s ALWAYS good to get things cleared by a doctor before seeing me.

But if you have been experiencing irregular periods for a while (and know the source, and are positive you’re not pregnant), this work can be an AMAZING support.

It’s also one of my favorite treatments to do 💙

The luteal phase asks you to slow down, soothe your system, and listen inward.
Support your body with warmth, minerals, and softer expectations:

đź’™ Focus on Warming Fats
Ghee, butter, coconut milk — grounding and supportive for metabolism and mood.

đź’™ Prioritize Magnesium
Reduces cramps, irritability, and fluid retention — your nervous system’s best ally this week.

đź’™ Permission to NOT Perform
You’re not meant to be in go-mode. It’s safe to say no and soften your schedule.

đź’™ Dandelion Tea
Supports gentle liver and lymphatic detox as hormones begin to shift.

đź’™ Eat Real Chocolate
Magnesium-rich, mood-balancing, and emotionally satisfying — yes, it’s supportive.

đź’™ Go to Bed Early
Deeper rest supports progesterone, mood stability, and resilience.

đź’™ Brain Dump Before Bed
Clears mental clutter to calm the system and reduce luteal-phase anxiety spikes.

Your body isn’t asking for more. It’s asking for better support, less pressure, and a slower rhythm.

Part 2 of my coffee series. If coffee has a negative effect on you but you’re not quite ready to give it up (as a coffee lover I know how hard it can be), here are some tips on how you can lessen its effects!

Wellness is NOT about perfection. It’s about doing your best. It’s not always about limiting yourself, it’s about making small changes toward a healthier lifestyle and better balance.

DM me if you have any questions, or if you are curious about lymphatic drainage for digestion, bloating, and hormone health.

I LOVE coffee. My family are all in the coffee business and I grew up traipsing through my uncle’s coffee shop trying any drink the baristas would make me. Then I moved to Seattle in my early 20’s and coffee became a lifestyle necessity.

It took years for me to taper down, even as I noticed clear issues with my skin, my gut, and especially my anxiety. My favorite drink in the world was strongly linked to all of these, and cutting down has improved my quality of life in so many ways.

As a lymphatic drainage practitioner, I can’t ignore the connection I see between coffee and puffiness- especially in clients who are feeling “off” but can’t figure out why.

Coffee isn’t the villain. It has benefits- hello, regular morning BMs- but it can also stress your adrenals, affect your gut lining, and disrupt fluid balance.

This post is here to inform, not villainize our food choices. If you’re noticing swelling or feeling dependent on coffee to function, it might be time to tune in and try some gentle swaps.

Remember: it’s not about quitting coffee. It’s about noticing how your body responds.

Have you noticed a change in your face after coffee? Do you feel different when you drink tea instead?
