Sandra Rocha Kaufman - Bio (artist)----My sculptural images reflect my perception of the visual beauty that is inherent in nature and humankind. Imaginative representations of animals, birds and flora as well as capturing a facial expression, smile or beckoning gesture, I hope these sculptures will allow the viewer to pause, linger and experience a moment of beauty, harmony and charm. I am influenced by varied artistic aesthetics and a love for the great classic, architectural, romantic, contemporary and ethnic art of our world.
A graduate of Chouinard Art Institute (Cal Arts), Los Angeles, Ca., I have utilized my art training to work in a variety of creative occupations: Fashion and Costume Design, Scenic Design, Theatrical Sculpture, Parade Float Design and Sculpture. For the last four years, I have created and designed garden sculpture for Sun Shadow Studio.
