My sister watched one of my videos early on and said to me I do not know who that woman is.
That landed hard. Because she was right.
I was performing. Saying what I thought I was supposed to say. Showing up the way I thought a health coach was supposed to show up. Doing everything right and feeling nothing.
That is not a camera problem. That is an identity problem.
And it shows up everywhere. Not just on video. In the way you lead. In the way you make decisions. In the way you walk into a room.
When you have spent years learning to perform, performing starts to feel like you. Until someone who actually knows you watches and says that is not her.
Here is what I know after doing this work for years.
You did not lose yourself. You learned to perform. And those are very different things.
Losing yourself means she is gone. Performing means she is still there underneath it all waiting for you to stop pretending and let her lead.
Your body knows the difference. It has always known.
The fatigue, the disconnection, the feeling that something is off even when everything looks fine on the outside. That is not a health problem in isolation. That is what happens when the woman performing and the woman underneath have been separated for too long.
That is the work of the Inner Empire™. Not becoming someone new. Removing what was never you.
Are you ready to stop performing?
Save this for the day you need the reminder.
