The West Plains Fire Department is hosting a FREE Car Seat Check Event to help ensure your child is riding as safely as possible.

👶 Our Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will:
✅ Inspect your child’s car seat
✅ Ensure it is installed correctly
✅ Answer any questions about proper car seat use and safety

Exciting news for families in our community! 👶

Ozarks Healthcare is expanding Women’s Health services with the addition of midwifery care, offering another option for personalized, patient-centered pregnancy support.

Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Tabitha Young, will help lead the program alongside Shelley Mitchell, CNM, providing collaborative care with our obstetrics physicians right here at Ozarks Healthcare.

With a passion for building meaningful relationships and empowering patients through education, our midwives are dedicated to supporting moms every step of the way - from early pregnancy through delivery.

What this means for you:

• Longer visits focused on education and shared decision-making

Hello friend! 👋 I’m Amelia Protiva. I've been a doula since 2016 and I currently serve families in Southeast Missouri. My work is driven by the foundational belief that doula care is an essential practice for the safety and wellbeing of all women and birthing people. My work in reproductive healthcare spans nearly a decade, combining hands-on, evidence-based support and education with community advocacy and technology innovation.

My role is to be your echo. I specialize in birth, postpartum, and bereavement support (planned and unexpected), bringing evidence-based education and unbiased advocacy into your space. I am here to advocate for your values and wishes, ensuring your voice is heard and that you feel respected throughout your perinatal journey.

My path into this work is deeply personal. After experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss, I understand the complex emotions and fears that can accompany pregnancy and birth. I'm now a mom to a beautiful girl who is the light of my world, and my parenthood path through loss has only deepened my commitment to supporting all families through theirs.
