Therapeutic Massage - Fascial Reintegration

With 18 years in practice as a Therapeutic Massage provider and informed by advanced knowledge of myofascial function and structure I have developed a unique approach called Fascial Reintegration. Fascial Reintegration employs a structural approach to soft tissue therapy to assist your body to experience greater comfort and enhanced function and performance. Each session utilizes a blend of myofascial, orthopedic, and craniosacral massage techniques to work through distorted myofascial pattering that is causing pain and/or reducing performance. Kevin will also work with you to retrain and rebalance your movement patterns through functional movement training.

The medical system is absolutely brilliant at keeping our hearts beating. But it provides almost zero support for the aftermath.

If you are in your 30s, 40s, or 50s navigating early-onset cardiovascular disease, you know the exact feeling. You know the isolation of sitting in a cardiologist’s waiting room surrounded by people decades older. You know the sudden, terrifying pressure of securing your family's future while managing chronic fatigue.

Surviving a cardiac event is only half the battle. Navigating the hidden grief and the loss of your physical baseline is the rest of it.

Today, the doors to Safe Harbor are officially open. It is a digital retreat for adults 55 and under living with early-onset heart disease. We are stripping away the toxic wellness dogma and focusing on what I call "Heart-Oriented Living"—bridging medical adherence with sustainable, energy-conscious lifestyle design.

We cannot force our bodies back into the impossible past baselines. But we can mend, and we can find a new way forward.

✨Medical and Professional Update

For the last year, my life has been quietly and entirely interrupted. I’ve kept a lot of this private, but it’s finally time to share what’s been going on behind the scenes.
As many of you know, I lost both my dad and my brother to major cardiac events.

What you might not know is the intense medical battle I’ve been fighting to rewrite that family history.

Despite living a deeply health-conscious life for the last 15 years, a scan five years ago showed my cardiac calcium score was shockingly high. Fast forward to last August, and my body started sounding the alarm. I began having debilitating symptoms—extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, and burning nerve pain radiating through my chest, arm, and face.

It was terrifying. But every time I went to the ER, my blood work came back "perfectly normal," and I was sent home. It happened three or four times before I finally got in front of a cardiologist for advanced testing.

The scans showed my calcium score had climbed even higher, revealing major blood flow issues and blockages. Over the last six months, I’ve had three stents placed. When my symptoms still kept rebounding every time I tried to resume a normal, active schedule, I ended up at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

They finally gave me the missing puzzle pieces: alongside the arterial plaque, I have something called endothelial dysfunction, meaning my artery walls are overly sensitive, stiff, and prone to spasming. Furthermore, we recently discovered a rare, underlying genetic disorder that has likely been quietly driving my family's severe cardiac history all along.

I am finally starting targeted treatment and seeing some minor improvements, but managing ongoing symptoms and physical limitations is a daily reality.

Going through this taught me a very harsh truth. The medical system is brilliant at keeping our hearts beating, but it offers almost zero support for the emotional trauma, the loss of your physical baseline, and the very real financial anxiety that follows. Every time I sat in the cardiologist’s waiting room, I was the youngest person there by a few decades. It is an incredibly isolating feeling. But clinically, I am not an anomaly. There is a rapidly growing demographic of adults in their mid-50s and younger who are living with early-onset cardiovascular disease. We are trying to raise families, build careers, and navigate a terrifying diagnosis all at the same time.

👉Because the system doesn't teach us how to actually live with this disease, I decided to build the space I so desperately needed.

On Sunday, I am opening the doors to Safe Harbor, a digital community specifically designed for adults 55 and under navigating early-onset cardiovascular disease.
Using my 20 years as a health and wellness provider—and my very real experience as a patient—we will be focusing on gentle, sustainable ways to rebuild physical vitality and protect our families' financial futures, without the toxic wellness dogma.

✨Here is where I could use your help:

I know most of my friends and family reading this don't need this community. But because cardiac events in younger adults are rising so quickly, you almost certainly know someone who does.

If you have a friend, a coworker, or a family member who is quietly navigating a heart diagnosis and feeling overwhelmed by the aftermath, would you please share this with them?

Thank you all for the love, support, and prayers over this last year. I am so grateful to be here, and I'm ready to turn this interruption into a lifeline for others. 💖

(PS: For the science and data nerds, I'll drop a few clinical references in the comments about the rise of early-onset CVD and the psychological impact of cardiac events)

A digital sanctuary for navigating early-onset cardiovascular disease, rebuilding your vitality, and securing your family's future.

Creating a safe, comfortable space for our community to pursue health has been the honor of my life. Today, I am sharing a personal update that will change what that space looks like moving forward.

Recently, I have been navigating an unpredictable cardiovascular condition. Due to the fluid nature of my health right now, I need to prioritize my physical well-being. After much reflection, I have made the decision to wind down my private practice and end all in-person client services over the coming weeks.

I want to take a moment to express just how much this community means to me. Over the last decade, I am profoundly grateful for your willingness to share yourselves so openly, and I consider it the highest honor to have earned your trust.

Please know that while this specific chapter is closing, my professional journey is not. The profound lessons I have learned from all of you will be put to good use as I pivot into a fully remote corporate management role. I am actively seeking positions in clinical operations and program management where I can take our bottom-up, health-literacy-driven approach and build wider systems of care that empower even more people to advocate for themselves.

For my current active clients, please check your email for details regarding limited virtual consultations as we transition your care.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your story. The door is always open if you'd ever like to reach out.

With deep appreciation,
Kevin Peterson, M.S., B.S., HWC

🤔 Have you ever wondered why your shoulder pain keeps coming back, even after it’s been massaged or adjusted?

Often, the problem isn't the shoulder itself
➡ it's the system supporting it.

Welcome to the concept of Fascial Reintegration. ✨

Fascia is the connective tissue web that holds our entire body together. Moving a single finger creates tension that travels through this web, affecting the shoulder and even the hip!

✨Instead of just treating the local symptom (the sore shoulder), Fascial Reintegration looks at the global system to reestablish balance and truly resolve the tension.

❓Are you treating the symptom, or the system?

💪 The Power of Acceptance in Your Health Journey

✨ Want to know the secret to moving forward in your health journey? Acceptance, a part of the Progressive Adaptation Cycle.

💚 Accepting where you are right now - the good, the bad, and everything in between - is the first step towards creating lasting change.

💚 When you accept yourself, you:
✨ Let go of self-criticism and negative self-talk
✨ Create space for self-compassion and self-care
✨ Focus on progress, not perfection

💚 Acceptance is not about being stuck or giving up on your goals. It's about acknowledging your current reality and using it as a foundation to build upon.

💚 So, take a deep breath and accept where you are. Your journey, your pace, your progress.
