I’m sleepless in Wisconsin tonight…or shall I say morning?
Insomnia in survivorship…are you experiencing it, too?

I mean, we all get the sleepless nights during treatment. There are many of them due to pain, uncomfortableness, nausea, appointment anxiety, and medication side-effects. But after it’s all over, after all the surgeries are done, after you’ve stopped the course of medicinal and surgical care, what keeps you up at night? What are the monsters under your bed now that you are NED or in remission?

Let’s vent some of our fears here.

🤕 Every fiber hurts…but you don’t look sick existential realisation nugget. I’ll be the “click bait” cliche and say, “Watch all the way to the end” because that thought is near the end. I am not pushing myself today. I am resting. A change must come. I’ve been charting my sleep, been more in-tune with what is actually going on with my body versus just how I feel. What I eat, what I do, what events are happening in my life. Man, it’s a delicate ecosystem. I’m grateful I have dogs to snuggle with on days like this. -Shena
