LU-SSHP Larkin University Chapter LU-SSHP seeks to provide all of our pharmacy students with the necessary knowledge to ensure optimal medication therapy and safety for every patient.

Larkin University - Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (LU-SSHP) exists to ensure student pharmacists and members of American Society of Health-System Pharmacy (ASHP) are equipped to provide optimal health care and advocate for pharmacy practice in different health-system settings. We also focus on education and development to prepare our students for residency and continuing education.

11/13/19: SSHP hosted our residency preparedness event geared towards P3 students wanting to apply for residency. We broadcasted the event using live streaming to allow for maximum participation. Our presenter, Dr. Alexandra Angel, put on a wonderful presentation. The main draw to this event was that Dr. Angel graduated from Larkin University and matched in Phase 2. This gave her a unique and specific experience for our students. We reviewed the matching process, how to do your applications, what to expect during your interview, and what you need to have before the application window opens.
