✨Celebrating the 600th International Serum Exchange! ✨

Since its introduction in 1981, the International Serum Exchange has grown from 57 pioneering labs to a peak of 116 participating centers in 1994 — all united in advancing antibody testing and strengthening global collaboration.
Over the decades, 1,406 serum samples have been tested across six continents using a range of methodologies, building shared knowledge that improves patient care. Here’s to the scientists, technologists, and partners who’ve kept this program thriving for decades. 600 Exchanges. Countless insights. One incredible community.

Please join us in congratulating our Fellows as they complete their journey with the UCLA Immunogenetics Center Director Trainee Program! Over the past 2 years they have learned hands-on training in all aspects of histocompatibility and immunogenetics, including testing procedures, proficiency testing, clinical training in solid organ and stem cell transplantation, regulatory standards, and laboratory management.
