There was a time in my life when I thought healing meant getting back to who I was before everything hurt.
Before the heartbreak.
Before the disappointment.
Before I lost pieces of myself trying to survive things I never thought I'd have to survive.
But I don't believe that anymore.
I don't think God is trying to take us backward.
I think sometimes the breaking is where we finally get quiet enough to hear what our soul has been trying to tell us all along.
Healing isn't pretending it didn't happen.
It isn't forcing yourself to forgive before you're ready.
It isn't repeating positive thoughts until the pain goes away.
Sometimes healing looks like sitting with what hurts.
Feeling the emotion instead of running from it.
Listening to your body.
Getting quiet enough to hear your own intuition again.
And slowly learning to trust yourself, your soul, and God with what comes next.
That's so much of the work I do with women.
I don't want to "fix" you.
I want to sit beside you while you uncover the parts of yourself that got buried underneath years of being strong, taking care of everyone else, questioning yourself, and just trying to make it through.
Because maybe restoration doesn't mean becoming who you used to be.
Maybe God is creating something entirely new with you.
And maybe that's where faith comes in. 🤍
