This song was challenging! I was stuck between 5 and 7 of swords, bc I think the song touches on the themes of both cards. I chose bc the lyrics tell a story of knowing you should walk away, but not being ready to let go.
In 5🗡 the main theme is winning a battle, but not necessarily the war....Or walking away but at some type of personal cost. The number 5 in numerology and tarot symbolizes the TIPPING POINT, right when conflict hits its peak and reveals the truth of how things are going to end.
In Sam Smith has discovered the true nature of his partner and has even admitted doing some dishonest things as well (looking through the phone) that normally he wouldn’t do. He knows he should walk away (which would be the 6🗡) but just isn’t ready to give up yet. He also knows his decision to stay will probably cause more heartache and pain. But he hopes that his lover will see the hurt and change. By knowing the truth of the matter, Sam Smith may feel like he has his power back in the situation, but I think the song tells us that he knows how things will end.

Hello beautiful tarot souls!

I decided to start a cute and fun project here on IG. Simply put, it’s called and I will be matching songs to the tarot based on their lyrics. It’s a simple exercise that can teach you so much! It can help you remember card meanings that may escape you, or look at a card from a new perspective. I even think it can help you understand a positive aspect of a card that you might feel an aversion to (or a shadow aspect of a card you love!) I hope you enjoy! I’ll be posting these sporadically in NO order, just when I find a song that reminds me of a card! Also, check out my stories to hear snips of the songs featured. Dear spiritual seekers,

One of the hardest lessons to learn as a tarot reader is that intuition ebbs and flows as you move through life. Right now I’m feeling very blessed and can say that I truly feel more connected and in tune than I have in years. It’s pretty obvious that my account has been dormant for the last year or so, and that’s really because I was in such desperate need of emotional and spiritual healing. I felt so depleted that I had no inspiration left to share in IG. But 2019 brought a shift and I feel like I’ve reawakened. I can feel that I am able to balance my daily life, with new and changing priorities, and still make time for a spiritual practice. Growing spiritually is the most difficult thing you can do because it’s entirely ON YOU. No one is telling you to go to church every Sunday or say your prayers before bed. To be a spiritual seeker is to choose everyday to explore the unknown... and *listen* to the faintest whispers of the universe that others don’t bother to hear. It’s not easy, which is why so many pick up a deck of cards or a crystal and never evolve to the next step. But that’s not what this post is about. It’s about allowing those breaks, forgiving yourself for taking a month off, 6 months off..... acknowledging that your journey as a spiritual seeker is the *most important* thing you may ever do on this little planet and if you need to give yourself a break, it’s ok. So.............here’s to giving this another shot. I hope you guys will help me & send me love on this journey. 🔮🖤
