Your nervous system has been waiting for permission to release tension and exhale. The forest doesn’t need you to ask!
20 minutes is the threshold researchers keep finding as the point where cortisol visibly drops, your brain quiets, and your body starts to trust that the emergency is over.
You’ve been carrying a lot. Consider spending consistent time outdoors as routine maintenance…a personal ritual to yourself.
At Sunday Grounding we promote and encourage ritualizing self care and spending time outdoors as a part of our nature therapy approach. If you’ve been feeling a call to spend time outdoors, follow us to join along on our adventures! You deserve peace!

The mindset shifts required to live in a grounded and embodied state are simpler than you think! Learning how to give YOURSELF grace goes a long way.
Dysregulation can look like constantly proving yourself, overthinking every decision, shrinking your needs, or staying in survival mode because rest feels unfamiliar.
Regulation looks different.
It’s confidence that isn’t performative.
It’s being deeply rooted in yourself.
It’s trusting your body enough to slow down, speak clearly, set boundaries, and take up space without apology.
A regulated nervous system helps you move through life with more presence, embodiment, and steadiness. You stop reacting from fear and start responding from alignment.
What mindset shifts have been impactful for you?

Sometimes the reset we need is as simple as slowing down long enough to let nature remind our bodies that we are safe, present, and supported.
This forest bathing sequence is a gentle 10-minute practice to help you decompress, regulate, and reconnect with yourself through the healing rhythms of the natural world.

Some places you visit. Others you feel. Ricketts Glen is the second kind.

21 waterfalls tucked into the forest. The kind of quiet that makes your shoulders drop before you even realize they were up. The kind of air that reminds your lungs what a full breath actually feels like.

We wanted to give our community more than a day trip. So we found a private retreat home nearby: fire pit, hot tub, space to exhale and we’re spending the whole weekend together. You’ll be guided through meditative and somatic full body releases through the weekend to guarantee a weekend of R+R!

Hike all 21 waterfalls. Rest when you need to. Let the sound of water do what it does.

This experience is reserved for Sunday grounding attendees. If you’ve been out with us before check your email. If you’re new here, we’d love to meet you at a free hike or virtual workshop first. That’s how you get in.

Ricketts Glen State Park is one of our favorite parks, that’s a little too far for a day trip. So we got a PRIVATE retreat home and are inviting our community to join us for the weekend!
Come for a night or two! We will spend a full day at the park to see all 21 waterfalls along the 4 miles of trails. Also, our large retreat home comes with all the amenities for a comfortable nature getaway. Think swing chairs around a fire pit, hot tub under the stars and even a pickleball court!
Community, check your emails as this OVERNIGHT event is reserved ONLY for Sunday Grounding attendees.
If you are interested in joining us and aren’t on our mailing list, come out to a FREE community event or join a virtual workshop!
Drop a 🥾 if you’re ready to hike some waterfalls this summer!
