We are home!! A big thank you for the dinner that was dropped off by our friends! This week has been such an emotional roller coaster! All the scares, testing juggling child pick ups, games, lack of sleep and the traveling back and forth has us exhausted! We are so thankful to be home! Thank you all for your kindness, thoughts and prayers, calls , text/emails, dinner and gifts! The last 9 days (really the last year!) would have been unimaginable without your support! Thank you so much! To God be the glory🙌

Day 9 update on Brad

We are waiting to be released to go home today. No new seizures, but are leaving with new medication. More testing will happen over the next couple of months.

Day 8 Update on Brad

We have been in Vanderbilt Tullahoma/Nashville since last Tuesday (Brad had a very hard seizure at home and recovering has been very difficult) The Neurologist wanted to capture seizure activity through EEG monitoring. They adjusted medication dosage, sleep deprivation, breathing techniques and strobe lights. So far, we have not been successful. I have never prayed for Brad to have seizures before and after this last seizure that was very hard to do. We will start back on seizure medication tonight with plans to stabilize and go home tomorrow. Thank you all for all the calls, texts, emails, love and prayers.

Day 6 update

We are still at Vanderbilt in Nashville. They are studying Brads brain with EEG testing to try and capture seizures and collect data. At this point, he is off all seizure medication (1.5 days) We need him to have a seizure, recover and restart medication before he can leave. Please pray that he can hang in there as we have come so far! He is scared, tired and really over being in the hospital.

Update on Brad-
He is still currently in Vanderbilt Nashville being monitored on continuous EEG. The goal is to cause and capture seizures to be able to map Brads brain activity. The more we learn the more we can do to help him. He definitely is not happy about all of this, but it is what we need to do to properly care for him.

I am currently setup at Coffee Co health and wellness expo in Manchester at the Unity Medical Plaza. It is my goal to stay until 3pm but that is obviously subject to change.

On Tuesday, Brad had more seizures — impaired focal cluster seizures. We tried to manage them at home this time, but we weren’t successful.

We were transferred yesterday from Tullahoma Vanderbilt to Vanderbilt in Nashville and admitted to the EMU for further study and mapping of Brad’s brain. This has been on our list of goals for the future, but it got moved up.

This round has been, by far, the hardest recovery Brad has had. However, he is doing much better and more like himself today!

Please continue to pray for our family and that the results give us more answers than questions. Thank you all for your continued support! 💕
