A Chicago native, Allison continued her journey in the Windy City at Harrington College of Design completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Integrating a passion for design, fashion and art, Chicago’s Allison Delaney of Honsen Interiors executes inspired interior environments that cater to both modern and classic aesthetics. Fusing the individual needs and personal style of the client with her experience and keen eye, Allison practices at the intersection of function and beauty to deliver expertly conceived spaces. She honed her skill

s in both luxury hospitality and retail design before focusing exclusively on residential clientele with the formation of Honsen Interiors, Inc. Allison’s innate ability to maximize a project’s budget while achieving timeless and uniquely curated spaces has been paramount to her success. The best things come to those who wait, according to Gibbs 🐾 … especially treats prepared in the Butler’s Bar just off the kitchen in our client’s home outside of Kansas City.

Our jewel box bar features a Miele coffee station, SubZero double fridge drawers and wine fridge, filtered water faucet, ice machine and dishwasher, not to mention custom storage galore.

Can we also talk about one of my favorite mosaics from on the floors.. and yes, they’re heated.

Feeling Fall today.. in palette and in name…. These amazing pumpkin swivel chairs have been with my client for over 15 years. Reupholstery gave them a new lease on life, not to mention gorgeous fabric by the little detail that really brought this room together, however, is the addition of velvet tape on existing draperies.. this tiny add-on at the last minute pulls the whole space together!

Playing photographer & florist. One of my favorite ways to decompress after a long week is to spend time with plants and flowers. Gardening, albeit hard to do in the city, and arranging flowers brings me so much joy. Had a little bit too much fun at our local flower market yesterday! Also… how do our iPhones take such amazing photos?!? Pic # 1 is just a single stem up against an ivory wall. Wow.

New year… same designer! My take on the classic kitchen. Custom cabinetry in natural walnut & Paper Doll (white) from Benjamin Moore, works to balance the quiet mix of textures, including an embossed ceramic tile backsplash and quartzite countertops, paired with polished nickel fittings and white bronze hardware.
