Thank you to all the staff and volunteers at ECAD, Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities for making it possible for me to assist my human on our first big adventure together as a team since our graduation just 7 weeks ago! It’s hard to believe the next ECAD graduation is right around the corner September 12 at 3:30.

My first time working a camping trip! I did really good in a long rocky golf cart situation.

My new custom harness arrived so I swung by ECAD to have the experts adjust the straps on me just right. Then I went for a test run in it at the grocery store and happened ed upon one of my weekend home handlers. I’m so glad I was brining my A-game to work today otherwise that would have been embarrassing! ECAD staff and volunteers are everywhere!

I stopped by ECAD and played with Dominoes, Checkers, and the gang then I went to REI. My human and I are very excited about going camping 🏕️

She walked in covered from head to toe,
In golden fluff from Kanyu’s glorious show.
There was fur on her sweater, her pants and her shoe—
And somehow that made her more charming to view.

I tried to act normal, sophisticated and cool,
But Kanyu’s loose fur had me breaking the rule.
I thought, “She’s adorable!”—then sneezed with a rush,
Turns out I’ve developed a serious fur-covered crush!

So Kanyu, keep shedding; I’ll gladly endure—
For apparently, I have a thing for a woman
who comes with her own Labrador couture.
