Sometimes healing doesn’t happen in a clinic.
Sometimes healing happens on the water.
Today, Maze and I took High Anxiety out for a ride—not to escape life, but to recharge for it.
As veterans, first responders, and caregivers, we often run until the battery is empty. We answer the call. We carry the weight. We push through exhaustion because others depend on us.
But even the strongest among us need maintenance.
Boats need fuel.
Engines need service.
Batteries need recharging.
So do people.
Taking time to breathe, fish, sit in silence, laugh, pray, or simply watch the water move isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom.
The mission can wait an hour.
Your mental health can’t.
Maze reminds me daily that peace isn’t found by outrunning life. Sometimes it’s found floating quietly in the middle of it.
Recharge your batteries.
The world needs you healthy for the long voyage ahead.
⚓️ “High Anxiety” today.
High peace tomorrow.
