FREEDOM TO FLOURISH: Redefining Well-Being After a Demanding Career

After years of meeting deadlines, managing responsibilities, and putting everyone else first, have you ever stopped to ask yourself, “What does well-being look like for ME?”

For many women, success comes at a cost.

Somewhere along the way, self-care takes a back seat, and simply getting through the day becomes the priority.

Claudia Crichlow, JD, a judge and attorney with over 20 years in the legal profession, now a Certified Health & Wellness Coach trained through Harvard Medical School Executive Education and Mindbodygreen.

Claudia reminds us that well-being isn't one-size-fits-all. It's about rediscovering what matters, defining wellness on your own terms, and giving yourself permission to do more than just live.

You deserve to THRIVE & FLOURISH

WHAT GOOD IS HEALTH INFORMATION IF THE CARE A WOMAN NEEDS ISN'T AVAILABLE?

Global health leaders are warning that major reductions in health financing could threaten progress in maternal health, reproductive health, nutrition and primary care.

Net official development assistance fell substantially in 2025 and is projected to decline again in 2026, with health among the sectors facing some of the steepest reductions.

At the same time, debt pressures are limiting what many governments can spend on essential services.

An estimated 3.4 billion people live in countries that spend more on interest payments than on either health or education.

The consequences can reach far beyond national budgets. Reduced resources can affect access to trained health workers, maternal-health services, essential medicines, contraception, nutrition programs and functioning primary-care systems.

Recent financing cuts have already disrupted essential health services in many low- and middle-income countries.

Health literacy can empower a woman to recognize warning signs, understand her choices and know when to seek care. But knowledge cannot substitute for an unavailable clinic, medication, blood supply or trained healthcare professional.

Guidance/Initiative Sources:
OECD. ODA Projections for 2026 and the Near-Term: Implications for Vulnerable Countries and Sectors. OECD Policy Briefs.

Research Note:
These are documented global financing and public-health trends rather than results from a clinical trial. The health impact will vary depending on where funding changes occur, which services are affected and how individual health sys

Health Literacy Note:
Health literacy is both personal and systemic. Women need understandable information, but health systems must also make it possible for them to access and use the care that information tells them they need.

THE WELL WOMEN WORLDWIDE WALL OF REMEMBRANCE

OCTOBER IS HEALTH LITERACY MONTH

Some people leave this world, but they never leave the lives they touched.

We are creating a space here at Well Women Worldwide to remember the people whose love, wisdom, laughter, strength, and presence continue to live through us.

Who would you like us to remember with you?

Add your remembrance in the comments below. You may include:

• A photo
• Their name
• A favorite memory
• A few words of love

Share as much or as little as feels right.
This is not about how someone left us.
It is about the love they left with us.

We will begin our Wall by introducing someone very special to the Well Women Worldwide story — Lourdes B. Lomboy, our beloved Mama Lou (comments below). See the WHO behind our WHY at Well Women Worldwide.

As you read the remembrances shared here, we invite you to honor each story with kindness and respect.

May this become a living wall of names, faces, stories, and love — a place where we remember together.

Our Wall of Remembrance remains open. If there is someone you would like us to remember with you, you are always welcome to add their name and story.

Are you getting enough protein — and how would you even know?

If you’re in midlife, perimenopause, or post-menopause, you may already be paying closer attention to your health than ever before.

You may be wondering:

- Why does it feel harder to maintain muscle?

- Do I actually need more protein now?

- How much is enough?

- Does timing matter?

- Can protein help support strength, energy, metabolism, and healthy aging?

And how do I make all of this practical without turning every meal into a math problem?

These are exactly the kinds of questions many women are asking as their bodies change.

Join Well Women Worldwide for our next Wisdom Speaks: Meet the Expert session featuring Tracia “Tracy” Jardine, MHA, a Mind Body Green Certified Health and Wellness Coach who specializes in helping adults in midlife — especially peri- and post-menopausal women — create sustainable habits around nutrition, movement, strength, and overall well-being.

Her presentation:

Protein Needed for Women in Midlife

Tracy also holds certifications in Women’s Fitness, Functional Nutrition, and Menopause, and brings a practical, relatable approach to lifestyle change. Her goal isn’t to make healthy living feel more complicated. It’s to help women bridge the gap between knowing what they should do and actually creating habits they can live with long term.

And for Tracy, health is about more than food and exercise. It is also about learning to care for yourself without guilt.

Her guiding philosophy says it beautifully:

“There is nothing wrong with being a little selfish.

Take care of yourself, because you are the one person you are never going to get away from.”

The Midlife Makeover: How to Stop Feeling Like a Hot Mess

Hot flashes. 3 a.m. wake-ups. Brain fog. Weight changes. Low libido. Mood shifts. Vaginal dryness.

Midlife can bring real changes as estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone decline, but women deserve more than being told to simply “deal with it.”

Join Dr. Zerline Chambers-Kersey @
and Lori Werner from elliá´ąá´° for a special conversation about menopause, hormones, peptides, intimate wellness, and practical options for feeling more like yourself again.

Thursday, October 1, 2026
7:00 PM Eastern Time

During this session, we’ll discuss what may be happening hormonally during perimenopause and menopause, how bioidentical hormone therapy and peptide therapy may fit into a medically supervised plan, and options that can support concerns such as energy, body composition, low libido, sleep disruption, vaginal dryness, and overall wellness.

This session is for women who are ready for a more informed, comprehensive conversation about midlife health.

Meet the Expert: AnnMarie Thomas

Have you ever caught yourself asking, “What’s wrong with me?”

Maybe you keep repeating a behavior you promised yourself you would change. Maybe certain situations trigger reactions you don’t fully understand.

Or perhaps you’ve labeled yourself as undisciplined, unmotivated, overly emotional, or simply “bad” at changing habits.

What if the better question isn’t “What’s wrong with me?” but rather:

“What is this behavior doing for me—and what can I intentionally change?”

Join Well Women Worldwide on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 7:30 PM U.S. Eastern for our next Wisdom Speaks: Meet the Expert conversation featuring AnnMarie Thomas, PMC-ABA, EdS, MEd, RBT.
AnnMarie is a behavior specialist, educator, educational leader, and Applied Behavior Analysis practitioner whose work helps make behavioral science practical, understandable, and personally relevant. Her educational background includes a Master of Education in Educational Psychology, an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, and advanced post-master’s training in Applied Behavior Analysis.

During Beyond “What’s Wrong With Me?”, we’ll explore how our behaviors can be influenced by learning, reinforcement, experiences, environments, and the needs those behaviors may be serving.

This is not simply a conversation about “breaking bad habits.” It is an opportunity to become more curious about ourselves.

Why do certain patterns continue even when we know they aren’t serving us well?

What reinforces a behavior without us realizing it?

How can awareness help us make more intentional choices?

And how do we move toward meaningful change without beginning from a place of shame or self-judgment?

Understanding the why behind a behavior can be an important first step toward deciding what we want to do differently.

Come curious. Bring your questions. And invite another woman to join the conversation.
