This is an urgent campaign to feed the students of the Arnoldo Gabaldón Elementary (UEPAG), located in Caracas, Venezuela. All of the money raised will be used to purchase food and kitchen supplies for the school, which is currently struggling to feed its 260 students due to persistent food shortages and rising inflation rates in the country. About UEPAG
Founded in 1998, UEPAG currently serves 260 students from Pre-Kinder to Sixth Grade, in the neighborhood of El Paují, in Caracas, Venezuela. As a small private school in a low-income area, UEPAG strives to become a model center for learning by educating its students with values, extracurricular activities and high standards of academic excelence. Its model includes serving breakfast and lunch on schooldays to its students. Parents contribute $0.50 a month toward their children's education. The rest of the school's budget is covered by the invaluable support of private donors. It costs $12 a month, or $144 yearly to feed one student at UEPAG. Given the scarcity of basic food items and the galloping rates of inflation in Venezuela, UEPAG is struggling to cover these costs despite the help of its donors. This campaign will raise enough funds to serve breakfast and lunch to every student during 2017! Thank you for supporting the students at UEPAG and for believing in a quality education for the future of Venezuela! Help spread the word!
