Reiki is a Japanese word that means "universal life force energy." If you've ever heard the term 'chi,' which is Chinese in origin, then it is very similar to that concept. Reiki energy has an intelligence all its own, in that when administered by the Reiki practitioner, the energy knows where it needs to go in the body to do the most healing. While many people may not feel anything during a Reiki session, some have reported feeling heat, tingling, or a gentle energy Force. But everyone says that it is very calming and peaceful.
