World Environment Day

A healthy environment supports healthy communities.

For people living with disability, accessible parks, inclusive community spaces and safe outdoor environments aren’t just “nice to have”.... they’re essential for participation, regulation and wellbeing.

Environmental planning and accessibility go hand in hand when creating inclusive communities.

What’s your favourite accessible outdoor space in our local area? I personally love Pioneer Park in Landsborough.

Jump Start June....

Feeling stuck, unmotivated or like the year has run away from you already?

This is your reminder that you can reset at any time.

Here are 5 simple ways to start “Jump Starting June”

• Make the Game Plan by creating a short list of your priorities/goals.
• Think about your Game Plan and IF needed ask for assistance
• Put the Wheels in Motion
• Detour, reset or pause IF needed.
• Pat yourself on the back once the Game Plan is complete.

You do not need a Monday, a new month or a new year to begin again. One small action today can change the direction of the next six months.

Last Month we looked at Motivation and Micro wins.... This Month, we are hitting the reset button given its the 6th (!!!) Month!

So please welcome... JUMP STARTING JUNE

I am doing a June Reset, as for some people, May may have been full of motivation, momentum and micro wins.
For others… it may not have looked like that.

June is your reminder that you do not need to wait for a new year to reset.

You are allowed to regroup.
You are allowed to refocus.
You are allowed to start again.... as many times as needed.

This month is all about “Jump Starting June”. Rebuilding routines, reigniting motivation, and taking small intentional steps forward.

If you want to relook at your goals, NDIS or General Life related reach out, we can have a chat and make sure you and your team are on the right path to achieve what goals you set!

Here is to fresh energy, new perspective, and moving forward one step at a time.

Global Day of Parents

Today we recognise the incredible role parents play in the lives of children and adults living with disability.

Parenting in this space often includes advocacy, care coordination, therapy appointments, crisis management and endless paperwork, of course alongside unconditional love and fierce dedication.

Parents are often the strongest voice in a participant’s journey, and their resilience deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated.

To the parents and carers in our community, what’s one support that makes the biggest difference in your world?

FINAL POST for Mays Motivate and Micro Wins....

The Wins That Almost Didn’t Happen....

You know the ones…

The appointment you nearly cancelled.
The phone call you stared at for 20 minutes before making.
The outing you almost talked yourself out of.
The moment you wanted to say “I can’t”… but somehow said “I’ll try.”

Those are the wins that matter most.

Because no one sees the internal battle that came before it.
The overthinking. The exhaustion. The doubt.
The “maybe tomorrow” that almost won.

But it didn’t....

* You showed up anyway.
* You did the thing anyway.
* You pushed through, even when it felt hard.

That’s not small. That’s huge.

So if today felt like a struggle just to get there…
Just know, that counts.

Actually… it counts more than you think.

Today whilst working from home I had a little visitor. A phone call from a neighbour alerted me to a lost dog on the street. I headed outside and managed to call over this little timid cutie and she stayed with me until I was finished work and was able to take her to the Vets, where thankfully she was chipped! Her owner collected her soon after! Thanks for hanging out today Pooch!

Mays Motivation and Micro Wins....

Progress Over Perfection

Waiting for the “perfect time”?
The “perfect energy”?
The “perfect plan”?

Here’s the truth… it doesn’t exist.

And if you keep waiting for perfect, you might never start.

Because done will ALWAYS beat perfect.

That small step you took today?
That effort no one else saw?
That thing you didn’t get quite right but still gave a go?

That’s progress. A Micro win if you will.

So let go of perfect… and give yourself permission to just begin.
