This is how I see it:

The Just Action Community was not the product of a strategic plan. It emerged spontaneously from a comment. After completing the last session of a program, a participant said: โ€œIt is such a shame we wonโ€™t see each other next week.โ€ And I said, nothing is stopping us from getting together next week off the programโ€ฆ and that is how the Community came to be. ๐Ÿ˜Š

It happened because there was ๐’‚๐’๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’๐’†๐’… ๐’„๐’๐’๐’๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’—๐’† ๐’˜๐’Š๐’๐’.

In a world of hustle, this was flowing. Program participants join after completing the program and continue building their ๐„๐ฉ๐ข๐œ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ together. We did it from a place of passion for service and authentic interest in peopleโ€™s pursuits.

โžก๏ธ With a common language,
โžก๏ธ With the goal of supporting each other from a place of gratitude and service,

I found this to be the core engine that increases your "Gratitude Capital"โ€”the goodwill generated when you serve others from a place of passion and genuine interest. That emotion is the reason someone remembers you months later for a new opportunity. It's not because they were in your funnel. It's because you made a meaningful difference.

โ€ผ๏ธ Yes, KPIs are DEAD!

I know that sounds like heresy. We're taught to be data-driven, and KPIs are the language of business performance...

But, your obsession with KPIs could be killing your ability to see the bigger picture.

Single-point metrics are transactional. They measure an outcome, but they tell you nothing about the patterns that compound for success of failure.

๐’๐ฎ๐œ๐œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐š ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐š๐๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ (๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐Ÿ๐š๐ข๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ) ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฉ๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฌ.

Single KPIs by themselves are not the best tools to describe these patterns. They create a narrow focus that limits decision making.

This is how I see it: Sustained high-performance comes from a deeper level of awareness that requires a systemic mindset.

Moving from tracking indicators to understanding and proactively building success patterns.

โžก๏ธ A KPI is a result.
โžก๏ธ A Pattern is the system of behaviors, rituals, and reactions that leads to a result (e.g., "our team proactively collaborates on difficult leads, shares insights after every failed call, and celebrates each other's wins, resulting in higher morale and a better close rate").

If you observe and track ๐Š๐ž๐ฒ ๐๐ž๐ซ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฌ (๐Š๐๐๐ฌ), you are better equipped to leverage the systemic relationship between key factors and their compounded benefit.

Is our education system preparing our kids for the reality of an AI-driven job market?

Surely NOT.

This past weekend, I ran an "AI Hackathon" with my 14-year-old son using vibe-coding platform Lovable.dev

We dived into what could be a problem he would be passionate about solving. Then, we thought about a solution!

The context:

In 2025, generally speaking, companies are not yet firing people and replacing them with AI agents. (There are exceptions)

However,

Companies are not hiring as many young people for Junior roles are vanishing. So youth unemployment is increasing.

The alternative:

Young people should not only be fluent in AI. They should also have a portfolio of real-world projects "solutions" to demonstrate their ability to contribute through the solution's full life-cycle. A degree is no longer enough.

The good news? Tools like no-code/AI platforms have made it easier than ever to build, test, and learn. It's time to move education from theory to application.
