Hi everyone,
I wanted to share something from an article I read on trauma. It really encouraged me and I know I’m not the only one suffering from trauma. Hope this helps someone else who’s struggling like me. I copied these from the note I took so I’m sorry if they don’t make any sense but I hope it’s clear!

Things to remember from God to the traumatized:

1. God remembers evil
2. God tells stories of trauma that would be easier to forget (process of recovery is NOT immediate)
3. God speaks specifically to the depths of our suffering (psalms 55:20-21)
4. God gives us Himself even in the midst of triggers.
Jeremiah 49:11
Jeremiah 9:4
Matthew 10:16
Don’t blame yourself
You can be free!
“Truth can feel like a heavy burden for the hurting, but it is ultimately the only relief for the oppressed”
Trauma is NOT a life sentence. Sometimes he takes the pain away, sometimes He doesn’t. Your trauma doesn’t define you and doesn’t have to control you forever. No trauma is bigger than God.
Mark 2:4
Revelation 5:6

Hi everyone,
I am going to be posting a link to an article below and would like you all to read it if you could make some time. I don’t usually do something like this, but recently it’s been getting to me and I need to share. It’s hard for me to share this because not many people know I have this and it’s very difficult to talk about this, but this topic is very important to me and it would mean the world if you would take the time to read this and to understand what it’s like to live with this. Recently some people have said some really hurtful things to me like “control it”, “get over it”, “everything’s fine”, etc, which doesn’t help at all. Being able to understand this illness and being supportive and educated about it will help not just me, but anyone who struggles with this illness. No one can help this, or wants to go through this which is why it’s important to be understand their illness and to reassure and support in any way you can.
Thank you for taking the time to read this article and please remember that I value and appreciate my friendships and relationships. Thanks so much to everyone to has supported me through this, I appreciate you all❣️
This is what it’s like to live with BPD, Borderline Personality Disorder.
Thank you.
