ELDERBERRY SYRUP 🍇🍯

I adore the entire process of making elderberry syrup, from measuring out the ingredients to even foraging some of them (white pine - vitamin C; mullein - respiratory health), and then mixing in some locally harvested honey once the medicines have simmered long enough 🍯

I love the smells, too 😍 the cloves and cinnamon add warmth, the organic ginger gives it a hint of spice, and the elderberries round it out with a fruity scent.

I also throw in some wild crafted chaga mushroom 🍄 for its immunity boosting qualities.

But the thing I love the most? Doing the research 🤓

I’ve read pages and pages of books and internet articles written by reputable herbalists, and have learned so much extra from local herbalists by attending their workshops or by simply calling them up.

It really is a labour of love for me 💚

What I have in store for March:

•Labels! I’m rebranding some Lotus + Sage products under the Grandmother Moon label. For example: the replenishing hand balm will become the Heal All Salve (or something to that effect 😉 I’m still working on names)

•T-shirts! The logo - once officially complete - will be printed on clothing 👚

•Tinctures! I have a few tinctures just chillin’ in the cupboard, waiting to reach maturity and poured/labeled in April *patience*

•Elderberry! I have some unlabelled elderberry syrups sitting around, so as soon as the new labels are printed, they will be put on the shelves at Lotus +

I have a new tincture brewing ⚗️

Two weeks ago, I set about to make a tincture blend for allergies 🤧

It has a mixture of mullein, goldenrod, and plantain. I will also be adding a dual extracted reishi tincture later, which help will help boost the immune system - a key body system connected to allergies.

More info to come when this concoction is poured and labeled in April 🌼
