Join Founder & Head Hypnotherapist in-person on January 7, 2023 for Group Hypnosis for Clarity at ✨

In this two-hour event, we’ll:
* Dive deep into what hypnosis is and isn’t
* Create an empowering, personal affirmation
* Learn self-hypnosis to anchor in that affirmation within the subconscious
* Relax and be led in 45 minutes of group hypnosis to get clarity

Led by certified clinical hypnotherapist Caitlin McCoy (CHt), group hypnosis is essentially meditation with a goal. Expect to be guided into a deep theta brainwave state where we can bypass the conscious, analytical mind and access the subconscious—where all our habits, emotions, beliefs, and automatic bodily functions reside.

Hypnosis allows you to get into the Theta brainwave state, bypassing the analytical mind.

Watching a movie = you’re likely in Theta.
Daydreaming on your drive home = you’re likely in Theta.
Brushing your teeth after waking up, letting your mind wander = you’re likely in Theta.

Hypnotherapy allows you to be guided to that state so you can make the changes you’d like to see in your life.

It’s super normal to be worried about the unknown. 🤍

And a hypnotherapy session is definitely something that I totally understand having some major questions about—because at best, our knowledge about hypnotherapy is that it looks like someone is put into a deep sleep for their own benefit; and at worst, we envision a sweaty man in a shiny red shirt on a stage “making” people cluck like a chicken. (At least in my head, they’re always sweaty. Maybe it’s the stage lights??)

The point is: we have misconceptions about what hypnosis and hypnotherapy is and can do, but TL;DR—it’s not sleep.

So then what is it?
It sounds super fun and mystical to talk about trance and “going deeper,” but when you’re guided into hypnosis during a hypnotherapy session, you go from the Beta brainwave state we’re all in most of our working, waking day around others into a Theta brainwave state–which is a naturally-occurring state of being you’re in every day, to varying degrees.

The Theta brainwave state is the state of daydreams.

Depending upon our own day to day occurrences and how we experience the world, we’re in Theta more or less throughout the day. ✨

When I listened to my first audio self-hypnosis download, I had an immersive meditative experience that I didn’t know would ever be something that was possible for me.

I wanted to be “good” at meditating, the way I learned to be “good” at copyediting or blog formatting.

What happened after the experience took me by surprise—the colors I saw were brighter, everywhere. In trees, flowers, etc. (I especially noticed on walks.) It was like a filter that I didn’t know was there had been removed.

All because I listened a self-hypnosis audio track about being more financially successful. 😅

Sometimes you don’t know what you’re looking for until you find it.

Sometimes you don’t know what’s possible until you experience it.

At some point, I stopped noticing that colors were brighter.

Did they become duller? Or did I acclimate to brighter colors?

I recently had an Inner Voice session with my friend and fellow Inner Voice facilitator and this came up in my session — that the ‘magic’ doesn’t go away. You just become magic as well.

Have you ever had a similar experience that surprised you? An added benefit?
