Today, Caring Hearts of Wyoming Valley was proud to take part in United Way of Wyoming Valley’s Day of Caring 2026!

Our amazing team members were stationed at three incredible community organizations throughout the Wyoming Valley today:
📍 Northeast Sight Services
📍 Volunteers In Medicine
📍 Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO)

It’s inspiring to see so many volunteers and organizations come together with one shared purpose — giving back to our community and supporting those who need it most. From lending helping hands to spreading kindness and compassion, today truly showcased the power of community teamwork.

We are honored to stand alongside so many dedicated volunteers making a difference across the Wyoming Valley. 💙

What a sweet afternoon of smiles, laughter, music, and community! 🍦🎶

Caring Hearts of Wyoming Valley hosted an Ice Cream Social today for the residents of Allied Services Independent Living Apartments, and it was truly a heartwarming gathering. From celebrating one of the members’ birthdays to enjoying classic old-time polka music together, the joy in the room was unforgettable.

We are grateful for the amazing community partners who came together to make the day so special. Pictured with the group today were representatives from Griswold Home Care for NEPA, Visiting Angels, Home Instead, Serenity Hospice PA, and of course Allied Services hosting!

Moments like these remind us how meaningful connection, companionship, and community truly are. 💙

Some of our group members were so grateful to spend the evening at Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab, A Jewish Senior Life Community Facility in Scranton, PA (host of the round table event) for an incredible gathering of committee members, supporters, and community partners dedicated to making a difference.
… 🙌🏻 All of this in support of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Northeast PA walk being help on October 17, 2026 at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders PNC Stadium! 💜

Keynote speakers welcomed were Rep. Kyle Donahue’s office, along with Geisinger board member Dr. Glen Raymond Finney MD, a behavioral neurologist board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry. Their advocacy and support for this important cause continue to inspire meaningful conversations and action within our community.

Caring Hearts of Wyoming Valley remains committed to supporting one another, expanding resources, educating our community, and strengthening collaboration efforts to ensure these important messages continue to reach those who need them most.

Together, we will continue pushing forward, raising awareness, and making an impact. 💜

💙 Community Connections in Action! 💙

Caring Hearts of Wyoming Valley was honored to participate in today’s PA Link Pennsylvania Department of Aging meeting with held at Active Day of Plains. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with community partners and learn from guest speaker Carmella Rynearson from the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF).

Great partnerships and strong community support truly go a long way toward helping individuals live more independently and with dignity. Thank you to everyone who continues to collaborate, share resources, and make a difference!
