Last nights Full Moon Lunar Eclpise, in Sagittarius ♐🌝✨

WHAT an intense moon, all about letting go, rather than manifesting and charging crystals. An eclipse is like thinking of the moon on steroids, so don't fear or let anxiety take over if you spun out a bit yesterday, you're not alone, we are all ridding ourselves of toxins in a big way!

Ecplise season is not a time to summon or gather, it's time to chill the f out! They have a way of bringing things to the surface which you'd hoped would stay buried or were already delt with.

Why? Well, because ecplise energy is super eratic, chaotic & unpredictable, so you definitely don't wanna be drawing those vibes in.

Instead of manifesting & charging or empowering, now is a time to ground, cleanse and centre yourself. Release any pent up negative energy, thoughts or patterns which no longer serve you!

With love 💘

My everyday mantra for this year, and a gentle reminder for anyone who may need it.
Times are tough and uncertain at the moment what with everyone being in and out of various lock-downs...
Life is full of ups and downs, but something I keep reminding myself is that we have to have the highs to feel the lows and vice versa, so whatever life throws at you, strive to push forwards!

YOU HAVE GOT THIS.
I BELIVE IN YOU.
THE UNIVERSE BELIEVES IN YOU. PLEASE BELIVE IN YOUR WONDERFUL SELVES 🙏

✨ Find your light & shine bright! ✨

“Padma Mudra” directly translates to “Lotus Seal", in Sanskrit. The Lotus Mudra opens the heart chakra and is a symbol of purity. It also symbolises a beautiful bud yearning toward the light, growing out of the deep dark muck of the pond water. From there, a flower emerges – making it a symbol of light and beauty emerging from darkness. In Buddhism the lotus blossom represents a heart opening. When we practice this mudra, we cultivate faith that as long as we stay rooted, we can move toward the light and emerge as the best version of ourselves.

Padma Mudras energy power : The lotus mudra calms the body and mind, while helping with digestive function and hemorrhoids. It also helps tap into dispelling depressive thoughts. (Intuitive Flow).

Related Chakra: The Lotus mudra connects us to our Anahata chakra or heart chakra that resides in and around our heart. This mudra is designed to tap into the energetic qualities of compassion, forgiveness, affection, and loving kindness (Yoke Quarterly).

✨ Namaste ✨
As yogis or just people who outwardly project and communicate a desire of self-aware, conscious and self-connected living, we have our work cut out for us. On the flip side, sometimes this can make it harder to clearly see onself and the impact we have on the world around us. The yoga scene is mostly run by thin, hyper-able, white skinned women whose love of attention and a platform, is so strong that it often overpowers the voices of people who don’t fit that mould, particularly bodies that are shaped, coloured, or functioning differently than the alo-clad average. Change is not only needed, but essential.
The onus is not on the BAME, LGBT, plus-size or differently abled teachers and practitioners to be louder and more inspiring. The duty is on white people to quiet down and share the stage, which has been long overdue. White supremacy has run horrifically deep enough through not only the history of society, but into our present day. It is now our responsibility as members of a beautifully multi ethnic community to start honestly and openly admitting our unfair advantages (intentionally or unknowingly taken), where we may have leveraged our privilege to get respect and authority that we don’t actually have justifiable claim to. (Echoing )
The time to start doing that work is now, my lovely yogi friends. It’s much more than just sharing tweets in your stories. Use your voice to raise awareness and take action. We have a responsibility to educate ourselves and stand in solidarity. Open discussion with friends and family, even if it may be uncomfortable, it’s incomparable to how black communities are feeling world wide, and have felt for the last 400 years. Donate to non-profit organisations and support the cause directly where you can. Do your own research, read black literature, watch documentaries and show up to peaceful protest, if you aren’t vulnerable. I’ve shared a link in my bio full of amazing resources!

The term mudra applies to the use of hand gestures used during meditation or asana practice, carrying specific goals of channeling your body’s energy flow, also defined as a 'seal', 'short-cut' or 'circuit bypass'. There are more than 100 know mudras that have been developed over the centuries. The combination of subtle physical movements which alter the mood, attitude and perception help deepen our awareness and concentration. ✨
Energise your nervous system connecting with your own inner peace, calm, and spiritual awareness! 🔮
Here I've chosen Gyan Mudra also known as; Chin Mudra or Mudra of Celestial knowledge and Inner Peace. It's probably the most familiar mudra in mainstream society. The intention of the Gyan mudra is to improve your concentration and sharpen your memory, known for its healing and calming effects. Placing the hand facing down to ground and internalise, and up to received light from the external! ✨
Do you use mudras? If so, comment below and let's share our practice! 😊🙏👌

Anyone else started feeling pain in their knees recently & wonder why?
It's been studied that Barometric pressure (or the pressure of the air) can affect sensitive joints...but humidity, precipitation, and temperature are also at play!

How?
It could be that when the cartilage that cushions the bones inside a joint is worn away, nerves in the exposed bones might pick up on changes in pressure. Or changes in climate may make your tendons, muscles, and any scar tissue expand and contract, and that can create pain in joints affected by arthritis, osteoporosis & rheumatism. Low temperatures can also make the fluid inside joints thicker, so they feel stiffer!

In one survey of 200 people with osteoarthritis in their knee, researchers found that every 10-degree drop in temperature (as well as low barometric pressure) corresponded to a rise in arthritis pain...meaning you are not alone!

Tips to ease weather-related joint pain:

• When temperatures drop, try to keep yourself warm. Take warm showers or baths, layer up or crank up the heat inside your home if everyone's in agreement (I mean we are getting to single digits at night now...)!

• Try a paraffin bath. It’s a small machine that melts paraffin wax. You dip your hands and feet in, & then you let the wax harden on your skin. Your body absorbs the heat, which may soothe achy joints. Or try heating pads and creams on sore spots like 'Tiger Balm' or muscle relaxing bath salts like amazing CBD 'unplug bath salts' or even their cooling muscle relaxant gel!

• Essential oils to detoxify: Cypress, Juniper & Lemon for the bath or local rubbing. Whereas oils such as Chamomile, Lavander & Rosemary are anti-inflamtories ideal local massage or compresses.

• Food supplements: cod liver oil & evening primrose oil capsules.

• Homeopathic remedies: Apis, Arnica, Bryonia, Ledum, Nat Phos & Rhus Tox.

• Maintain a healthy weight & stay active. Build up muscle & bone strength and always remember to gently stretch your body or do a few Surya Namaskar A&Bs before other excersie.

• Make sure you take care of your health in general with good nutrition, enough sleep and self love. Stand strong Warrior! 💕

"The truth is: Belonging starts with self-acceptance.
Your level of belonging, in fact, can never be greater than your level of self-acceptance, because believing that you're enough is what gives you the courage to be authentic, vulnerable and imperfect" 💫

~ Brené Brown

Stumbled across this empowering poem yesterday, so thought I'd share just in case anyone needed the gentle reminder to release to your own individual inner truth. ✨

Self love and authenticity are SO important for a happy & balanced mental health. I hope everyone has a beautiful day!🙏
