Update & it’s a big one….Blake had a PET scan a week or so ago. We got the results back & his cancer is GONE 🙌 He will do scans every 3 months for the next 2 years to monitor. I’m claiming it now his cancer will not come back!! Thank you for every prayer, every text, every call, every $1 donated to the GoFund me & every food gift card over this last year. God is so good!!

Praise the Lord we are finished!! 17 rounds of chemo, 33 rounds of radiation, countless CTs, MRIs & PET scans. We are so thankful for the nurses at The Kirklin Clinic ❤️

Edited to add he will have a PET scan soon to confirm his cancer is gone. I say confirm cause I believe & trust that it’s Gods plan!

Round 13 is in the books. Hopefully the nausea keeps to a minimum. Only 4 more rounds to go & then he will have another PET scan. Keep the prayers coming ❤️

Today Blake finished round 11 of chemo. Only 6 more to go but it feels like a dozen. This has all taken so much outta him, we will all be glad when it’s over. Keep those prayers coming.

I meant to post earlier & forgot. Today was Blake’s last radiation treatment 🥳👏 He will have more scans done to see how much the tumor has shrank. As always keep those prayers coming.

It’s been awhile since I updated y’all on Blake. He is doing really good. He’s completed 3 weeks of his 6 weeks of radiation. And he’s had 7rounds of chemo out of 17. His tumor is responding to the treatment 🙌 But God!! Thank you for the continued prayers.

Good morning, it’s been awhile since I’ve updated. For the most part Blake is handling everything like a champ. For the last two weeks or so he has had pain in his bladder after using the bathroom. So today we go see a Urologist for that. Tomorrow he has a repeat PET Scan & an appointment with the radiation doctor. Then on Friday round 5 of chemo. It’s definitely a busy last half of the week. More than likely he will do 1 more round of chemo & then start radiation for a little bit. His chemo has been kicking his butt for about 3 days afterward, so send up a prayer that this weeks goes smoother. ❤️🎗️

Blake’s 3rd round of chemo is done. Today was the big guns. So far no side effects & I’m praying it stays that way. 3 down 14 to go.

He did have an MRI last week & it showed that his tumor has grown. Previously it measured 5.3 x 3.1 cm it’s now 6.1 x 3.5 cm. His oncologist isn’t worried about that yet. It was compared to his 1st MRI that was 4 weeks prior to treatment starting. So she expected it to grow because Ewings is an aggressive cancer. We will repeat another MRI in 6 weeks & get a repeat PET scan after his next round of chemo on the 17th. ❤️🎗️

Praise report. I just called the Cardiologist & Blakes heart is pumping at 55-60%where before it was at 40%. His EKG was also normal.

The chemo he starts this week is known to cause heart failure. It’s a combo of 3 chemos & it’s nickname is The Red Devil. So far he has had little to no side effects please pray that continues.
