Nowadays there are SO many options available for women who wish to make their monthly shark week more eco friendly. Did you know it takes 500-800 years for disposable menstrual pads to break down?! 😱
Text time you're at your local supermarket, have a look at what reusable feminine hygiene products are available for you to. Things like menstrual cups, reusable pads and period briefs are fairly common in most stores, and then its up to you to choose which option will work best for you!

Have you tried any DIY recipes? I personally love getting crafty and in my opinion, DIY products are just another way to get crafty!
There is a plathora of recipes online that you can choose from; you just have to pick one that works for you! I recommend haveing a good understanding of all the different common ingredients as well, as this will help you formulate your own recipes or tweak existing ones to suit you.

How did I start my eco conscious journey?
It wasn't hard, as many people believe, and it wasn't stressful. I just... well, started! I chose something that I was becoming frustrated with in terms of packageing and reusability (I started with replacing my baking paper with silicone baking sheets) and slowly accumulated other eco swaps along the way.
What I hope to do is to prove that swapping to an eco friendly and eco conscious lifestyle isn't scary, stressful or challenging; its actually really easy once you know what you want to swap. And that's all there is to it!

Who is passionate about toilet paper?! I never thought I'd be saying that sentence, but Who Gives A Crap] has made me very passionate about toilet paper.

Let me explain! They are an Australian based company started by a few blokes who realised there are many people around the world (2 billion to be exact) who don't have access to a toilet, and that many, many children die from this lack of sanitation and clean water every year.

So how did they figure toilet paper will help? Well, amazingly, 50% of their profits go towards helping build toilets, and they've already made much leeway in their progress.

They also don't cut down trees to make their TP. They have recycled paper and bamboo options, and I've used both. I can say they are both strong and won't disintegrate in your hands like some eco-friendly toilet paper options. And before you recall horrors of using sandpaper-esque recycled toilet paper in the past, I can confidently say, both are soft and won't be so uncomfortable to use.

So, for me, if there was ever a toilet paper company to support, it's Who Gives A Crap]
