15 REMINDERS FROM THE ELDERS:
1. Get up with the sun to pray. Pray alone.
2. Be tolerant of those who have lost their way. Ignorance, presumption, anger, jealousy and greed come from a lost soul. Pray for them to find guidance.
3. Find yourself, by your own means. Do not let others make your path for you. It is your path, and only yours. Others may walk with you, but no one can make your way (or walk your path) for you.
4. Treat guests in your home with great consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honor.
5. Do not take what is not yours, whether from a person, a community, from the jungle or from a culture. It was not given or won. It is not yours.
6. Respect all the things that are on this earth, be they people, plants and animals.
7. Honor the thoughts, desires and words of all people. Never break them in, or make fun of them, or imitate them rudely. It gives each person the right to their personal expression.
8. Never talk about others in a bad way. The negative energy you put into the universe will multiply when it returns to you.
9. All people make mistakes. And all the mistakes can be forgiven.
10. Bad thoughts cause illness to the mind, body and spirit. Practice optimism.
11. Nature is not FOR us. It is PART of us. She's part of your family in the world.
12. Children are the seeds of our future. Sow love in your hearts and water them with wisdom and life lessons. When they grow up, just give them space to grow up.
13. Avoid hurting the hearts of others. The poison of their suffering will return to you.
14. Be true (transparent ) all the time. Honesty is the test of one's will in this universe.
15. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental person, your Spiritual person, your Emotional person, and your Physical person: they all have the need to be strong, pure and healthy.

Rumi (Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi), a 13th century Persian spiritual master, was asked:

Master what is poison?
– Anything beyond what we need is poison. It could be power, laziness, food, ego, ambition, fear, anger, or whatever.

Master what is fear?
– Non-acceptance of uncertainty. If we accept uncertainty, it becomes adventure.

Master, what is envy?
– Non-acceptance of good in others. If we accept the good, it becomes inspiration.

Master what is anger?
– Non-acceptance of what is beyond our control. If we accept, it becomes tolerance.

Master what is hate?
– Non-acceptance of people as they are. If we accept it unconditionally, then it becomes love.

Master and what is spiritual maturity?

1. It's when you stop trying to change others and focus on changing yourself.

2. It's when you accept people as they are.

3. This is when you understand that everyone is right from their own perspective.

4. This is when you learn to “let go”.

5. It's when you are able to not have “expectations” in a relationship, and give yourself for the sake of giving yourself.

6. It's when you understand that what you do, you do for your own peace.

7. That's when you stop proving to the world how smart you are.

8. It's when you don't seek approval from others.

9. This is when you stop comparing yourself to others.

10. It's when you are at peace with yourself.

11. Spiritual maturity is when you are able to distinguish between “needing” and “wanting” and are able to let go of your wanting.

And last but most significant!

12. You gain spiritual maturity when you stop attaching “happiness” to material things!”

THE AMAZON WARRIORS: Nhamundá, 382 kilometers from Manaus.
The municipality was the territory of disputes between the Spanish explorer Frei Gaspar de Carvajal and the Yacamiabas Indians in 1542, where the Indians emerged victorious. Discover the history of the Icamiabas, the Amazon warriors
The Icamiabas warrior women did not have husbands and did not allow men near their tabas (houses). They handled the bow and arrow with great precision and had the moon as their protector.

In legend, the icamiabas were tall, muscular women, with fair skin, long black hair, they were found when Spanish expeditionaries, led by the Spaniard Francisco Orellana, arrived in 1542 in the region that is now known as the Amazon. They were known by indigenous people as icamiabas but due to their customs, they were soon associated with the Amazon warriors, from Greek mythology.

History also says that the Indian women only admitted women into their tribe and in their fertile periods they captured Indians from other tribes to carry out the reproduction ritual. When they became pregnant, they informed their partners that, if a curumim (boy) was born, they would give the child to their parents, but if a curumim (girl) was born, they would stay and present the father with a green talisman, known as Muiraquitã.

OBSERVATION:
NHAMUNDÁ: THE ISLAND THAT WAS “HOME” TO THE YCAMIABAS INDIAN WARRIOR, DISCOVER THE PLACE. The Nhamundá region is still marked by the legend of female warriors who lived in the Amazon. The story survives after historical accounts of expeditions by explorers who sailed along the Amazon River around 1500, the time of the discovery of Brazil. According to legend, there were women who rode horses, handling bows and arrows, with great skills. These women refused to live with men on their lands, they became known as the Amazon Indians because, according to reports, they were similar to the Amazons of Greek mythology. For the indigenous community, they are the Ycamiabas warriors.
