Podcast Hosts of The Latitude Adjustment. Our Award-Winning Book: “A Guide for Aging Heroes” is available now. Aging heroes have the mettle to rail against the confines of conventional attitudes. We embrace opportunities to create meaning in our lives and to improve the lives of others. Prisoners to the social constructs of modern culture are completely unaware that the key to freedom is always wi

thin reach. That key is the nerve to step out of assigned roles and live authentically. In a world so often governed by fear and negativity, aging heroes gaze on the future with confidence, enthusiasm, and wonder.

In this episode, Erica and Rusty Harrison explore why questions about meaning tend to grow louder as life moves forward. From quiet harbors and changing priorities to Jungian psychology, Viktor Frankl, and the strange realization that achievement and fulfillment are not always the same thing, this conversation examines what happens when the structure of life changes and deeper questions begin surfacing. Along the way, they unpack purpose, contribution, connection, aging, and the search for a life that actually feels worthwhile—not just productive. Thoughtful, grounded, and deeply human, this episode offers a refreshing perspective on meaning: maybe it is not something you stumble across one dramatic afternoon. Maybe it is something you slowly build through attention, relationships, curiosity, and the ordinary moments that keep pulling you back into life.

We’ve got some news we’re still trying to wrap our minds around it.

The Latitude Adjustment Positive Psychology Podcast has been named a recipient of the Award of Distinction from The Communicator Awards.

This is a global competition. Over 3,000 entries. Major brands. Big production studios. Household names. And somehow… our little, story-driven podcast from Morganton is in that mix. That is the most mind-blowing part.

Our show has always been about telling honest stories, sharing research that actually helps, and giving people real tools to navigate change, build resilience, and live with intention.

To have that recognized at this level feels incredibly meaningful.
The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, the group behind the awards, includes leaders from places like Disney, Netflix, Spotify, and National Geographic. So to be evaluated alongside that level of work and still stand out… that says something to us. Our message matters, our stories connect with folks, and the community we are building together is real.

We’re especially proud as independent creators. No big machine behind us. Just microphones, a vision, and the belief that meaningful change is possible in the second half of life.

This award joins being named Podcast of the Year by the American Writing Awards and induction into the Positive Change Podcast Awards Hall of Fame… but the truth is, none of it happens without you.

Every listen. Every share. Every message.

You’re the reason this reaches beyond our little corner of North Carolina and into lives around the world.

So thank you. Truly.

If you’ve been listening, you’re part of this.
And if you’re new here… welcome aboard.

Through My Lens 🌿

Living with serious health challenges has changed how I move through the world. I pay closer attention to my day-to-day pacing, how I use my energy, and what my body is telling me throughout any given day.

And still, I choose to go. 🌎

Experience through travel brings me back to parts of myself that still want to live with purpose. I see that I can adapt and keep going. That I can stay engaged with my life, even if it looks different than it used to.

Confidence shows up in such a beautifully authentic way. I rely not only on past experiences, but in the learning process of the new one I create. I trust myself more because I’ve had to.

The desire to learn, connect, and contribute hasn’t gone anywhere. It just looks different. In many ways, it feels more intentional.

Stepping outside of the familiar reminds me that I’m still here. Still capable, and able to be part of a life that matters.

Your My Golden Hour: A extraordinarily huge surge of appreciation to who quietly supported me, made me laugh, made me feel incredibly included, kept me feeling human, and loved me unconditionally.

There is something compelling about a garment that invites adaptation and reinterpretation, making personal style feel more connected to movement, place, and expression.🌿

Shaped by both design and human ingenuity, the Pantytop brings that vibe beautifully.

Adjustable through its wooden beads, it responds to the body, the setting, and the moment with an ease that feels both thoughtful and free. 🌿

Count me in. 🌺

We are always drawn to people who create with care and intention. What they bring into the world carries a distinct point of view, shaped by originality, lived perspective, and a clear sense of purpose. Whether it takes form through art, design, storytelling, or something made by hand, what people choose to share often reveals what they value, what they notice, and how they relate to the world around them.

There is a quiet generosity in that kind of offering. To create something and place it into the hands, eyes, or experience of others is, in its own way, an act of connection. It invites reflection, opens conversation, and leaves room for inspiration that can continue well beyond the first encounter.

xoxo,
Erica and Randolph
