Do you agree with this statistic? 🧐

It’s so easy to get caught up in social media, and it’s even easier to start comparing yourself and your life to how other people may be living 😔

But you need to remember that there is more to life off screen 💛

Social media is for connecting with friends, learning new things and having a laugh✨

If you’re finding yourself stressed out by social media, you may be in need of some time away from it all 🙇🏾

A study from the British Journal of Health Psychology highlighted the benefits of journaling as a way of improving mental health.

Journalling is just one of MANY creative activities that are out there, why don’t you carve some time out this week to do something that’ll stimulate your mind and boost your mood 💛

Stop! You may not even realise but you’re clenching your jaw 🤕

It’s time to relax and take a deep breath:

😌 Inhale for four counts (1, 2, 3, 4)
😮 Exhale for four counts (1, 2, 3, 4)

How do you feel after that? Let us know in the comments 🤗

We just wanted to remind you that EVERYONE deserves to have a voice, no matter how old or how young you are.

Did you know that 50% of mental health problems are established by the age of 14?

We need to make sure we’re doing all we can for the young people in our communities. To make sure they feel comfortable to open up, and to make sure that when they do speak up they feel heard.

CW: Su***de

September is recognised as World Su***de Prevention month, and while the prevention of su***de is definitely something we should work on daily, having a month to dedicate to the cause highlights how important mental health is.

According to data from 2019, there were 5,691 su***de registered in England and Wales!

As a community, we should work towards creating a healthy and open support network for people to express a range of emotions.

Hello to you all and welcome to Spit It Out, a spoken word interevention program that encourages marginalised young people to find and use their voices through the creative medium of spoken word.

We believe that everyone deserves a place where they can say what's on their mind without the fear of being ridiculed. Our aim is to encourage an open and healthy dialogue between young people, their peers and the adults in their lives.

We look forward to sharing more with you and having join us on this journey to help bridge the gap between young people and the rest of the world.
